Dual spec forces two pve specs, aoe and single target, more often than not. Not to mention investing in a build before going out isn’t tedium, it’s commitment. That’s not a bad gameplay loop, you just want instant gratification. I’m for no respec costs and a preset spec selection at the trainer though. That’s okay that you don’t enjoy that, lots of other games for you.
And no, that’s not QoL. That’s not what that means and no class balance ever will, sorry.

Transmog is bad and ruins pvp by giving players the ability to hide true power-level.
Dual spec is bad and removes a nice gold sink and spec-immersion for no reason.
Both of these are in retail and look at the quality of the game.
Anyone wanting these should just enjoy retail instead of trying to retailify classic.

Yeah I play era as well. But SoD is a season of era, like som was, so I am trying it out.
And it’s an mmo so it is nice to play on servers full of people.
PvP is one small part of this game, no offense but if someone is playing classic for only the PvP they are either some 40 year old stuck in the past or a weirdo. There are hundreds of better options for pvp. A change like this should not be denied just because of the PvPrs… who is really paying attention to what someone is wearing when in a fight.
That’s what retail players say because pvp was ruined on retail starting from tbc downhill.
Vanilla pvp is as much fun as dota2 or any real pvp game. Don’t ruin it with transmog.
Almost every other mmo has better pvp than wow. A damn appearance change isn’t gonna affect it.
But if you have a plain classic server that lets you enjoy it as is and another server that Blizzard is using to try out Retail stuff on Classic for a Seasonal thing, why all the pushback against it? There are places for everyone.
Classic diehards hate change no matter what. Dude probably freaks out over the idea of eating at a different food spot than they are used to.

A lot of us just wanted a normal fresh season and are already dealing with a ton of retail abilities - we don’t want to deal with even more stuff that will further degrade the game.

Some retail things are actually good changes. The “all retail is bad” argument is ridiculous and comical.
Yeah they are like a sugar rush - enjoyable for a little but overall degrading from the game. Most players will crash eventually and go back to their versions or era.
They already added a resil helm and a ghost damage reduction in pvp to try and balance it, and wsg is noticeably worse. The only saving grace at the moment is there are so many players, especially bad ones, that there are infinite people to smash.

Well horde paladins and alliance shamans for one, since you people like to whine about balance every other day. You can’t have a balanced game with 2 sides having exclusive classes.
“No changes!” Then, “waaah ____ is so unbalanced!” Every other day.
I don’t whine about balance - 1.12 and 1.14 are extremely balanced as they are.
But I very much dislike destroying faction identity with alliance shamans / horde paladins.
How do you feel about the 1 hour wait timer of mail between alts that was changed to be instant later?
Druids learning Polearms later?

1 hour wait time doesn’t bother me - if you return mail it is instant - so you can store stuff on bank alt, and return it instantly already.
druids and polearms I am neutral about.
The one change I would wish for would be gnome paladins that can use staffs - but that would be far too powerful.
