Yeah transmog would be awesome. People need to realize that SoD is not a classic fresh server, it is a different game that’s intention is to keep the gameplay style and feel of classic intact while adding additional features and quality of life to the existing style and feel.
I feel like there are “no changes” people missing the point of SoD entirely. Again, This IS NOT a fresh Era server.

I don’t get what the classic people want. They talk about any changes ruining classic yet they are not playing on era. If you dont want any changes at all go back to era, its still there are will remain change free forever for you. Let the people who want an updated modernized classic have it.

The original post is funny because it is so deep in retail ideology, yet playing a vanilla season.
Transmog is bad for the game first and foremost because it destroys pvp. No way around it, people need to see enemy gear to team pvp at any decent level.
I know it is hard to understand coming from retail, but transmog makes everyone look like clowns that aren’t showing their true items but instead some made up set that has no relation the actual gear they are wearing.
The ONLY way I would not instantly quit SoD if they added transmog is that if players could disable it from their side. (i.e. - idc if you want to look like mr.big hero, savior of azeroth, all the time - but I want to see your gear so I can pvp and actually play the game). But at that point it probably isn’t worth the dev effort and I rather they work on actual content.
tldr: transmog is basically one of the worst things things they ever added to retail and doesn’t belong in a classic season (or any game with serious pvp).
Maybe if they updated gear to not look like a 5 year old running around in a clown outfit people wouldn’t be so adamant about transmogs. Most gear in classic is hideous.

You are required to go through the classic era client in order to play sod.
Sod is a classic fresh server. All it is, is classic wow with some wrath abilities and some new dungeon raids. This is not a new ground breaking MMO, it is just a classic seasonal server

Hard disagree - most gear in classic looks like what some ‘adventurer’ would wear. Not until you get to the endgame content do you get gear that looks shiny.
If you want to look like a hero from the start, and be at the center of the universe at all moments, that’s retail not a classic season.
The most clowny and hideous thing they could do to SoD would be making everyone look like top tier heros from the start. The game is about a journey of a toon that starts with nothing except a few abilities and some grays.
