So from everything you’ve said, Transmog would make you think you are at a disadvantage in PvP instead of forcing you to get better at playing PvP in general.
And if you don’t want to get better at PvP because you think not being able to see what someone is wearing, despite numerous normal functions like Hide Helm already being programmed in will put you in a disadvantage, then it’s clear that you’re not serious enough about PvP in general and really is non-issue for you.
We’ve already gone over how much of a “struggle” inspecting someone is, so that’s a non-issue for PvE too.
I’m not sure why you feel it’s appropriate to make this type of comment. Are you looking for a fight on the forums with someone you don’t know, on Christmas?
I hope you find yourself in a better place man. I really do!
Anyway,
Sure you could say this, and to an extent it makes sense. However, the trade-off of choosing looks over stats gets lost if you add transmog. That’s kind of a big deal.
Why not have toggable transmog? The people who want to see it can, and those who wish not to see it can disable it. Seems like an easy fix to me that allows for player choice on both sides of the argument.
It completely changes the strategy of engagement for almost every class in the game
But since you don’t know what you’re talking about you have no idea why that is.
You’re punching out of your league on the pvp/xmog subject
This is an item that breaks any cc that breaks on damage. Sheep/rocket helm/gouge/blind etc.
The item is very distinguishable and everyone knows what it is when someone wears it. It heavily changes the rules of engagement in pvp and you are required to play around it.
Morphing it to a dagger so nobody knows you’re wearing it will cost you cooldowns and losses. Would have been devastating if Xmog were to influence something like the mak gorah tournament
I’m not even talking about just duels or wpvp. I’m talking about BGs too. It may not seem like it but Skull is one of the most important pvp items in the whole game
Could have had one RP server with transmog. People could simply decide to play there or not.
Might also be possible to make it a toggle in the settings. If you don’t want to see players’ transmogs, simply leave it unchecked in the game settings. PvP issues solved.
Inb4 someone who has no idea how Blizzard handles tasks comes and tries to inform me that resources would be better used elsewhere.
If you’re serious about PvP, you’ll learn how to play against it being transmogged. If you refuse to learn to adapt, then you’re lying about being serious about PvP.
Oh really?
Sounds like you’re the one who has no idea. Held In Off-Hand items can only be mogged to other Held In Off-Hand items. Daggers are not Held In Off-Hand items. And Most Held In Off Hand Items of old are not even visible while sheathed, so unless your target is fighting and you have super eagle-eyes from a distance before engaging, you’re not going to even have a clue if they have it mogged or not until you engage them.
If you were serious about PvP, you wouldn’t be scared of fighting someone using an Off-Hand. You’d go into it with the Mindset that they very well might have and you fight as you go. If their transmogged item is this Skull, then you follow up with your strategy for if they had it. If they don’t then go you and do the strategy for that.
Transmog does not stop you from doing this and to claim otherwise is just a poor excuse otherwise to cover up for your shortcomings as a PvPer.
Lol i pretty much put the dwarf priest and dranei shaman on ignore. It was a circular argument. But basically ya the pvp argument sounds like they need to get gud and the rest is just them crying they have to see a matching outfit. These guys are such loosers its hilarious
