Kill trading, cheating, honor system gaming

It’s just :salt: Tayta. He must be a miner.

How does it violate the rules? is having a bank alt cheating too? Maybe people like ranking on alts. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t make it cheating

Maybe harder for Horde to do with higher Qs, but if you can get your char up to lvl 10, it’s not hard to just jump into a WSG, follow group around and get 15hks. And if you really don’t care, you could just /afk right after you hit your mark, and log into next lvl 10 alt.

So if the so called “Raid of lvl 10s” is considered cheating, then this is the simple way around it. You can’t stop ppl from wanting to inflate the pvp pool with lowbie alts.

Good explaining this to people who have no morality.

We have people botting, and reported, that are not getting banned. These people are actually stealing from people who play the game normally and are losing sleep, skipping work etc over this grind. There is a reason the honor system was changed. I’m going through it myself. I am getting less than 3 hours of sleep to grind and I only want 11. That’s it. I’m almost done.

I have a job. The bots on my server have caused a lot of the problems.

Then we have people trying to increase the pool which helps with the problem of bots (as Blizzard is pretty much not caring due to these people giving them $15/month) and you write your ranty post about how this is cheating etc. Well it may be technically but it only helps people and it hurts no one.

If it helps one person in their real-life it’s worth it, cheat or not.

Nobody making you do the rank 11 grind.

I know. I had a goal and I’m stubborn. This is universal though. Almost every ranker I know is exhausted.

As I said that’s why Blizzard changed their system.

Ya I hit r10 a few weeks back and stopped because it wasn’t fun, engaging or healthy.

I knew it going in and planned on r12, but I saw signs of it being not good for social/ work life balance and knew it wasn’t for me.

The PvP ranking system is ridiculous, no reason not to make it better for everyone as long as you’re legitimately PvPing.

“Cheating is fine because other people are cheating, too.”

Hooookay.

This is not how adults think.

How is it cheating? Explain.

Comes under win trading. If it was actual fighting then it ain’t an issue, but if you sit there letting the other person kill you that’s where the problem lies.

My guess is he is going to say win trading. But no one is winning anything. Those low level alts getting 15 hk’s will never rank.

literally read the title

So by your logic, every time I am attacked by a group of 5 horde, I should always try to defend myself instead of just letting them win and getting it over with?

obviously a false equivalency

Yes being attacked randomly in the open is the same as going to a gy for the sole purpose of letting the other side farm you for honor.

If it is win trading, how come the “honor mafia” system doesn’t fall under some form of win trading then?

Alright so if I run around my server naked, just letting the horde kill me over and over again, will that get them banned?

Possibly an argument could be made, I’m just comparing to a similar issue that happened in tbc where people used the halaa gy to farm honor and ate a ban for win trading.
