I have a sneaking suspicion you are a tank that is extremely slow. Low level tanking is a bit of a joke. Warriors have very little to actually hold aggro through the dps. Just let them face tank the mobs. Unless you have a non-existent healer, low level mobs aren’t going to one shot. They probably kicked you because you are the typical tank that is slow, nagging, and not fun to play with. It is leveling, not high end PvE, the point is to just go fast.
Sounds like the part of classic you want back is where everyone was bad at the game and you got to be their guide. Now they’re good enough they don’t need your “assistance”.

Your probably just going way too slow. Low level dungeons are completely faceroll. Last one I did was RFK and we could pull 7-8 mobs at a time and be fine. I was on this shaman and although I was the healer, 90% of the time I just did damage.

Yes, because that’s what it is. No, it’s that in the 15 years I’ve been playing this game, there’s two sides to every story… especially in situations like this.
i think it is a troll post but is does raise an issue that people experience in dungeons
the only time our groups have had to cc and target mark is when our tank d/c in wc and i had to sham off tank a bit
i would mainly be there to protect healer and whack kill mob and help dps
op is acting like a tank we had in rfc who was skulling the wrong mobs and going really slow- he rage quitted and we finished with 4
many runs with really good groups
several with mediorce
it is up to us to gauge our groups potential and keep things together regardless of class

Classic was where tanks learned to be great tanks and not rely on gear to gain and retain aggro

As was said, there’s more to it, maybe phrasing, maybe your tanking speed.
When tank I mark skull when necessary and that’s it, sometimes dps will behave, sometimes they don’t, happens.
But you must pay attention to your surroundings and don’t be a slow tanks.
Fun fact: I thought before classic that tanks would be a dime a dozen since warriors topped class preference… Ow boy, how wrong I was. There are many warriors, tanks not even close.
I have seen alot of this stuff, EVERYONE thinks they are super good at classic, I have heard so many times " I have been playing for so and so years dont tell me what to do" and then right after you have the tank body pull half the room and point the mobs at the group.
Same thing with every other class, hunters pulling when they want instead of going with the tanks pace. They are just rude as hell about it. And NONE Of them have classic experience, They are all a bunch of retail babies that can’t play for beans
Tanks on the other hand, need to have thick skin, It never fails, either the tank or healer are always blamed regardless of how stupid the DPS are. They can body pull, break CC. Do whatever they want and they still blame you.
If i were you i would make sure you are leading groups and kick these punks when they misbehave, your the tank, your the one that is running the instance for them , if they don’t like it then they can leave. Also, it sounds like the guild you were in was full of jerks anyhow. Don’t let it get you down brother! you got this!

I feel for you, but you’re level 27. These people will all drop out or learn by the time dungeon mechanics really start to matter. They will notice how they are wiping an awful lot.

dont worry about crap at low levels man, what many people dont seem to realize is that there are no xrealms! these types of people are going to be left out of raiding and organized groups and then they will cry and quit classic wow.
so you’re complaining you can’t create enough aoe threat, get told how to do so, and complain about the solution?
And also… just for the record… there is nothing better in this game than an assorted group of people that all get on the same page. If you’re having to always pug everything… get to know folks.
Either way… there is nobody in this game that won’t point and giggle if you not only DEMAND they play a certain way, but do so under threat of DEATH to their character. Then when you get the inevitable punt, not just from your group… but from your guild… you then befool yourself by starting multiple threads under different alts about your sad tale of Classic woe.

People often don’t understand the most basic general rules of what they should do to make the run like clockwork rather than a broken clock.
- Got trash on you? Run it to the tank. DO NOT RUN AWAY WITH TRASH ON YOU.
- When the tank pulls a mob at range and runs back around a corner, DO NOT RUSH THE MOBS, LET THEM FOLLOW THE TANK.
- My buffs take time and mana to apply to the group. We need to stop regularly so I can reapply them, and then I need to drink to get mana back so I can tank again.
These. Three. Rules.
Okay, rule 3 only applies to Classic, the other two are universal and especially apply to leveling dungeons, where trash and boss mechanics have been continually changing since implementation of level scaling. A lot of people who think they know the mechanics don’t.
I get tired of being the default schoolmarm whose primary job is to teach people how to do dungeons in general or this one in particular.
It’s about talents and gear. Without the right talents, skill isn’t enough.
Everything I read is about talents and getting the right gear.

Aggro sucks in classic period, i can sunder and people wont attack the same target anyway. GL holding aggro on higher level dps too. Such a **** show, pretty sure everyone knows that fact. Never been attacked once for not holding perfect aggro because it’s not possible.
