Kicked for Running the Full Dungeon—This Needs to Be Addressable

These dungeons were from back in the day when players cared about exploration, lore and getting all the dungeons quests done (as they were necessary for classes to obtain their BiS and abilities).

nothing more boring than trash. I have played pretty much straight for 14 years thinking that way - can you say the same?

so because they are old they should just be free rewards? and you dont even have to do most of it anymore? thats just silly. why even make people do the content at all why not just make everoyne max to start and delete all the old content. thats…i mean just because its old doesnt mean it shouldnt still have to be done if you choose to do it.

yea its boring but you qued for it…lol

because trash is almost always skipped

I dunno, I like having instances where I can have some choice in the length of the run with optional quests and bosses.
If I don’t do all the optional stuff and still complete it, it makes sense to me that completion will come with the stated completion reward.

No I mean this is what happens when Blizz adds old dungeons to the TW rotation. Those dungeons were never designed for the current playstyle, so of course players are going to skip the optional bosses. It’s shame, really.

i know that…what im saying is it shouldnt be. they shouldnt be designing content thats skippable. why even design the content then…people arent just skipping in old content its almost required to find the fastest route where a majority of stuff never even gets touched. from day one of launch the goal is to skip as much as possible. thats just not good…in my opinion of course. which is worthless…i am just making the point that if they put a mob in the game the mob should have to die in order for that content to be considered cleared. if you enter a dungeon and leave with 4 dead bosses and 50% or more of the mobs in the dungeon are still standing there…you havent done a dungeon youve played a minigame …why even have instances at all…why dont we just zone directly into the boss…

So, people wanted to complete the dungeon ASAP and not waste time, and you wanted to waste the others time by doing something else? Sounds like a justifiable kick.

this right here is why there should be NO skippable content in instances.

And bonus objectives also doesn’t mean we have to do it.

you have made yourself clear what you think and I have made myself clear what I think. I have played for 14 years almost straight so I have a little better idea what people like doing in this game than you do I believe since it appears in terms of retention and getting bored.

Now I see no reason to keep going around in circles since everything has been said.

ive played since day one of launch and this is my third account. none of my accounts have an active friends list…in fact almost none of the people ive played with over the years play anymore you know why…cause they were done in a week after flying through content.

I would have to see your account to believe you played from day one continuously to believe it. You who wants to force everyone to do full clears of all the trash in every dungeon. That makes me wonder if you even play the game at all.

And I’ve been playing since the dinosaurs went extinct.

im not here to prove anything to you about how long ive been playing the game. i was just responding to your comment about you thinking you know better than me because of how long you played…just because someone has played the game for a long time doesnt just automatically mean they dont wanna kill trash mobs…yes…even after all these years i LOVE doing trash mobs…its the most fun part of the instances in my opinion…its where i get to stare at meters and try new things and basically just smash my keyboard…which is what ive always loved the most about this game. i still log in and have 5 hour long sessions just moving through zones deleting everything and not even looting cause im going so fast. its fun…its the game…its literally why i started playing. to kill stuff…when a player logs in, skips through everything and is done in 5 minutes to be sitting in a city…it starts to get old…and then starts to become expected playstyle which hurts the game…

It’s poor game design. WoW stopped being about the journey because Blizz decided to focus on end-game content. That’s apparently when the “real game” begins.

There’s likely no going back now. Players complained that the actually interesting “Insurrection” quest line was too long in Suramar. We can’t be having the story get in the way of our gaming can we. What if we were forced to play through that? Could you imagine being forced to play a game?

imagine thinking skipping trash in dungeons leaves people with nothing to do in the game…

i didnt say it left them with nothing to do at all…we are literally having a discussion about INSTANCED content…in which a player chooses to participate. being kicked because some people wanna clear it all and some dont is a poorly implemented system and the best and easiest way to fix this disagreement with the players is force instanced content to be fully cleared. its just my opinion…im not trying to start an argument. its just a point im trying to make…its perfectly ok to disagree with me. my feelings arent like hurt or anything theres no need to make it a fight.

The completion bonus makes up the huge lions share of exp earned. If your goal is exp per hour, then clearing extra trash and bosses slows that down considerably
