At the same time. Being a tank doesnt give you dictatorship powers and we all have to worship the ground you walk on.
Edit : Except maybe unless you are a paladin. consecrating the ground is sorta their thing.

This is actually a question ive had for a while, its doable to do WW dungeon quests via follower dungeons? that would be great if so!
The majority dont want to do the full dungeon. You bow to their will or you risk punishment.
This likely only really matters to the “classic” (aka Cata revamp) dungeons anyway…and if I had to guess, this is specifically about ZF who I believe has quests still to do the full thing when the majority are just going to beeline for the main boss.
As a tank you lead the group, so that does mean you decide where to go, how to pull and so on.
That you want everyone to finish the quests they are having is a very positive thing to do and kicking you for it, shows that the queues for DPS are still not long enough.
Deserter was and remains one of the most stupid and exploitable features ever put in to WOW. I have only seen a reasonable use of it once.
You can report those people, the question is just if Blizzard will react.
Thank you for being a good tank @OP.
i dont want to be forced to play with a slow tank in easy content clearing unecessary stuff, so if i can to vote kick you, i’ll do it, and the game supports me for doing so
lol.
Nope.
There is, it’s called make friends.
Like I already mentioned, this wasn’t enough of an issue to warrant the heavy handed blanket approach that blizz slapped the entire playerbase with. If it was truly like you say, blizz would have implemented this change back in early SL.
It’s literally added to kicks to combat exploitation that was happening.
And yet, it was and they did.
That doesn’t make what they did…good? Appropriate? Warranted?
Blizz being incorrect about something. News at 11.
You answered your question as to why it happened with the relevant bits in bold. The rest of your group didn’t want to run the entire dungeon even though you did. Did you ask them if they wanted to do a full clear, or just assume and start running in? The group had every right to remove you if they didn’t want to do a full clear as you have no inherent right to make people group with you or stay in groups. It sucks but it is what it is. When you zoned in you should have asked if the group wanted to do the full quest. If they didn’t then you should’ve cleared enough to get the final reward, dipped, then found a group that did. Or did a follower variant if applicable.
And what exactly do you think you’re going to report them for? The other 4 people had every right to boot you if they didn’t want to do a full clear. You have no inherent right to make people group with you. If they want you gone they have every right to remove you. Answer this for me, why should 1 guy get to dictate to the other 4 they’re doing a full clear if they have no desire to do so? Why should 1 person get to override 4 other people’s play? The issue is they didn’t want to do certain content and you did, so they booted you. Doesn’t matter if you’re the number 1 player in the world or bottom of the barrel. If they don’t want you there they have every right to remove you. It sucks but again it is what it is. Do something else for 30 minutes and keep going.
Negative
But everyone didnt want to. Most didnt.
Wasnt a good tank.
Sounds like the group expressed that they wanted a quick run but you said no so they said see ya.
Not defending their action, but that’s just how it goes with some people.
I am lvling in a differnt area
You kinda deserve it OP. If you want to do quests, go with followers. People want to farm XP and level up, not do your quest thats far from the goals of finishing the dungeon.
There is a saying “you pull it, you tank it”.
The DPS has to follow, it´s been like that since Vanilla. The moment a DPS pulls or runs away, I let them tank until they learn it.
If I play DPS, I follow too, so what is so hard to use some common sense and be not a burden for the group?
I just ask especially if it’s LFG. I’m fully aware people farming LFG usually want through it efficiently. But either way, if you run LFG content long enough you’ll run into groups like this. It’s just part of it and you move on.
Any time somebody puts this much energy into posting in the forums something this silly, it just makes me think the OP was being difficult, took some grief, and now wants to throw a tantrum.
Remember, you are signing up for a “group run” that you are supposed to be part of. You are only 1/5th of the group hence YOUR opinion matters exactly that much.
If everyone else is NOT interested in clearing the entire dungeon then you can NOT force them to do so, even if you happen to be the tank, a role that is usually more sought after.
You should’ve asked at the start or even during the run if others are OK with full clear for quests and chances are you would have gotten a positive response. If you just chose to do things by yourself and simply telling others to follow, just because you happen to be in the role of lead, others have every right (and most likely will choose to) vote kick you.
Cool.
And once again. Just because someone is the tank, does not mean they are a dictator and control the group. Its a team game.
If you play a tank, what is so hard to use some common sense and be not a burden for the group?
The issue was you pulled every single mob, nobody cares about main route mobs or bosses. As Ive never seen or been kicked for it.
