the answer is simple in my eyes really. take away the debuff for getting kicked or leaving after 1 boss like it was(if people dont want to play with you or dont like your style at least you have the oppurtunity to try again with a new group), actually utilize the report system for people trolling or abusing things and not some automated temp susp for mass reports (which can also be abused) and learn from the frothing at the mouth nature of people chasing a gd trinket off the first boss in echoes for future descisions on where you put bis stuff. This could have all been avoided…

^ This really was the main issue. Made doing LFR so undesirable to me now that you can’t just do bosses you need. You get a 30 minute punishment for not wanting to get nothing at all. And what I mean by “what you need” I mean, what you missed because you joined in halfway done last time.

My thoughts is, you joined a random group of people that prefered to get to the end fast for the completion experience. Your wants aren’t above the wants of the majority, ergo, you got kicked.
Yeah changing deserter debuff for the whole game because of one boss in heroic that’s never gonna be an issue was stupid. But what was stupider was putting such an OP trinket at the start of the shortest dungeon of the expansion. They were literally inviting people to do this.

Not really applicable here.
This isn’t a thing. Multiple chat reports can give a temporary silence and encourage a GM to look at it sooner, there is no mass report suspension.
Eh, it’s pretty worthless from heroic dungeons honestly, especially considering that its in the mythic plus pool and farmable this season.

Blizzard for whatever reason made it so you don’t need to do the full run. I’m sure this was DM north because you can skip so much and still “complete.”
What is weird, is a full run isn’t outside of what a normal dungeon would take.

it actually is applicable. player pulling extra crap in the dung and you want to kick him? well now he gets a 30m time out. if they put the debuff back the way it was before then he can just re-enter and do the same for other people. if you report him for gameplay sabatoge then he can get his time out or what ever they think is deserving, but that needs someone to look into it.
and i was just covering bases on the mass report but if a gm actually looks into those before action is taken then great. im not concerned with temp chat silencing. it doesnt really affect anyones ability to play so nbd there imo
Regarding the timer: Sure but if it is stratholme main gate (which it sounds like) it’s one boss only so it’s unlikely that it’d have done anything.
Really, the best solution here is communication with people though.

You’re a good tank. Back in Vanilla this was the standard for good tanking. The only speed runs were done for courtesy low-level boosting (never paid for, mind you).
I wish there were more tanks like you. Unfortunately this is not Vanilla anymore. It’s Retail TWW where you can be booted for your character being the wrong skin color.

yeah i think most people are reasonable so def is the route i would currently take.
i just didnt see a reason to change how deserter worked after years and years for sac. but alas here we are.

I would love running a dungeon like that EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Even if I had all the quests done (most likely) and didn’t need the extra loot (heh, that will never happen 
) I enjoy running dungeons like that.

Or just make sure your supporters make up the majority of the group.
I love when there 3 of us in a group and one of the 2 rando DPS tries to kick the tank because they think hes too slow.

This is why we stop tanking, DPS are horrible and need to start treating other players like they are human beings.

I mean, the DPS could have asked to not go off course, or the tank could have asked to do the side bosses. Nobody communicated at all apparently.
DPS used to throw hissy fits in Azure vault if you didn’t do the skip, it was hilarious to watch them kill themselves when they fixed that.
