How did your group even make it to phase 3? Were the tanks also not swapping and you had to tricks to get the bosses to swap?

At this point in a raid ( at least back when I used to raid) healers so out geared the content that they can heal through almost anything. Thus, DPS throughput to quickly finish the fight and move on was all that mattered.

I hear you bro. But maybe that group wasnt the right one to take on Denathrius anyway. I am assuming we are not talking mythic and I dont care what anyone says Denathrius on heroic is way harder than SLG.

So if slg was killed by the skin of your teeth, while getting kicked despite doing things correctly feels bad, it may be better in the long run.

mechanics is good and all but if you canā€™t combine that w/ dps then itā€™s also useless. From the best pull I can see from stone legion he was pretty much up the whole fight and did less dps than the tanks. So he need to look up how he can increase his dps while doing mechanics.

Maybe that entire time he was just facepalming at the rest of his raid? Have you ever seen it hit the fan? Do you continue to operate at peak performance when youā€™re surrounded by literal failures? Personally I am taken aback and lose all my passion to press the buttons when people are failing the most basic stuff. Itā€™s disengaging and makes me want to log out. Maybe OP subconsciously wanted to get called out for poor performance because they just wanted an easy out without having to try.

maybe you should watch the replay on warcraft logs before you say anymore and look dumb. He was on the boss almost at all time. He did mechanics that he need to move out on but to do that below average dps is no excuse. And FYI everyone on his team are doing mechanics. Not what he say on his original post. I know you like to believe the good on people but learn to read the facts 1st

Soā€¦ they get carried for an entire raid, and canā€™t be bothered to do any dps and only manage gray parses for the whole raid. According to their profile theyā€™ve only killed H shriekwing twice, H Sire none, and the rest once. But they gray parse the whole raid, and expect to just be taken to the hardest boss in heroic because theyā€™re there already?

Personally I disagree. Stone Legions is actually probably one of the easier fights in the raid.

Denathrius P3 dps check on Heroic is much harder, and requires pretty much everyone to have already survived the first phases which can be a lot to ask for many players.

Iā€™m getting you havenā€™t seen dannyboi in heroics yet huh? He has alot of dps checks which you will need to met otherwise you wipe. And having way sub par dps will not help you w/ this

Itā€™s not even that, the timer checks are all over the place and require good ability and coordination.

Kill Denathrius too fast in P1 and people donā€™t drop enough stacks, kill him too slow and wipe to ravage. Kill adds at wrong time in P2 and overlap mechanics with the knockbacks, kill adds too slow and they stack up, kill adds but not enough damage on boss and you get additional add phases, kill boss at the wrong time and you push him to transfer to P3 whilst getting new add spawns.

Thatā€™s all before the mess which is P3 mechanics and dps check.

Clearly OP just has absolutely no experience with Heroic Denath lol

Does going 9/10H constitute a fail group? Lol Granted I only raided a couple times this season put of boredom and to get AoTC, but a group doing 9/10 (maybe 10/10 i donā€™t know) is a pretty good night for a pug raid.

youā€™re correct, mechanic handling matters - a lot

but people need to be able too do both damage and mechanics.
