Maybe they should concentrate on making a decent expansion and ignore this minutia? This expansion (inn my opinion), is terrible. Perhaps work on the product that you sell rather than worrying about editing a painting in a building that no one ever notices?
Really odd corporate decisions-“Let’s not worry if our product is good, as long as we don’t offend anyone. Pour all of our resources into pleasing that one person in Idaho that didn’t like a painting, let’s not worry about making a quality product. As long as that one person stops complaining about minutia, our stockholders will be happy”. I invest for a living. I wouldn’t touch this company with a ten foot pole. Really poorly run and getting worse (I did make a few dollars off of their stock a few years ago, but I wouldn’t go near them now). As an investment minded person, I’d say (and so does my FA) that I would not have anything to do with them.
They have conceded to a few vocal people. Maybe when their stock tanks they will start acting like a business again and be more worried about the quality of their product, rather than what that one person in Iowa thinks.

Problem with woke agenda is that you have to ‘predict’ what the other side wants before they cancel you. There is no rulebook, so you have to overcompensate for everything. That’s why there very much is a ‘boogieman’, because it’s a catchall for literally anything that side doesn’t want. They make up the rules and move the goalposts as they see fit.

Is there a lower rating than G? You can have 1-2 blatant innuendos per hour of runtime and still get a G rating. You can have swearing and still be PG. WoW has what, 1000 hours worth of quests? It’s just being utterly sanitized for an artificial feeling of wholesomeness to go along with the… genocidal race war?
Nothing you said has any relation to what “being woke” is to the actual marginalized people who believe in it. There is plenty of abuse across the spectrum from people trying to capitalize on it, but that’s to be expected in a society that is grown on the premise of advancement at nearly any cost.
The changes they are making have nothing to do with “social justice” or even the perceived notion of it. For a while I was interested in what their actual beliefs really are when they came out and said they were doing these changes for themselves, essentially…but I’ve since lost that interest. What they are doing is some type of idealist social sanitization to the nth degree, and if that’s the type of society they envision for the real world…it sounds kind of boring. Healthy competitiveness and playfulness can exist without going to toxic levels; it isn’t all-or-nothing.

Rpers tend to use /e to emote to it does not effect us …most of those emotes are used by people in pvp or in dungeons to be toxic or to troll or spam. Considering all the toxic people have gone to FFXIV now is the chance for WoW to clean up its act.
People are mad about them removing spit, but they also added in /wince. So if you want to be rude to people in pvp you can just spam /wince at them instead
