To me that would be like you’re wincing… you know… they hurt you. Doesn’t really make sense. Or maybe I’m just too old to get it.

You know, how you wince when you see someone get hit or something? That’s usually how people use it. “Oh yeah I saw him get kicked in the crotch, it made me wince”, etc.
Ok, I get it now… Still would rather they spit on me since they are the enemy, but this is a kinder more gentle era where we have to help the enemy to their feet, brush the dust off their uniform, and make sure they make it home ok!

There’s a difference between coddling someone and just not being rude.
I think removing this stuff likely does more harm than good, not sure who at Blizzard is being kept happy because of this, or why? I don’t know, weird.
I’ve got a feeling that as soon as the lawsuit stuff is concluded the people driving for these absurd changes will all be fired immediately, these changes aren’t really sane or coherent.
There is going to be a lot of corporate retaliation, you can tell from all these self destructive and petty changes.
I wouldn’t let any of this crap get past PTR, it’s ridiculous.
And if for some reason these changes were suggested by a third party consulting firm, get rid of them, and get rid of the internal people who contracted them.

Many of the “greenskin” references in Wow have been removed, because their are actually people out their thinking it is racism, yes racism against fictional creatures, you cant make this stuff up these day, some people have fallen off the deep end

Yeah, there are leaks of internal rumors apparently about corporate retaliation incoming post-lawsuit, I can’t imagine how on earth anyone would be surprised by retaliation, especially after making absolutely pants on head insane decisions like these with the code.
I genuinely am curious who was involved in these changes, and who their leadership is.

Imagine my drunken stupor to agree with, and reply in a Clàrk thread.
For someone who has been a most ardent supporter of ANYTHING Blizz related, to condemn one of their decisions in momentus at best.
Seriously Clàrk, I am curious as to why it took you this long to question the direction Blizz has made. The writing has been on the wall for some time now. Either way, congratulations for taking a stand.
These anachronisms are what made WoW so great to begin with. To deny their existence now is to deny the very existence of WoW.
To those that think, “Well I’m not that bothered by it”, regardless your intentions, you should be bothered by it. They’re literally going back and changing the foundation of the game.
That’s like saying the foundation of your house is no longer good, and it should have been made with sand instead of concrete. Without that solid foundation, you wouldn’t have a game to play now, and wouldn’t be complaining about it’s current state.
