Do you know why Manga is doing better than comic book? Because Japanese are focus on good story telling and good character development. Not focusing on woke crap because not give a crap about it no even for Japanese.

I really don’t care about manga tbh, also you can still pull a good story without punching down or making fun of others.

No way, things still stink. It was the safe go-to insult favored by both horde and alliance Island expeditions. It’s basically destined to be the classic insult that will never be removed.
Just smells will be fair game. Or more directly, indirectly mentioning the off-smell they might be smelling. It is still cutting too close to the edge for sure, but at least it doesn’t call anyone or anything out in particular.
It has room to grow into something safer.

What confuses me most about this change is nothing is stopping you from simply typing:
/me spits on player.
And they can’t remove the /me command, because then they’d essentially kill the RP community, and that would have a PR backlash that is worse than the lawsuit I imagine.
Removing emotes makes zero sense when /me exists.
Oh no, you’re protecting the opposite faction, that we’re AT WAR WITH, from being /spit on. Oh the humanity. (And at the same time making them only see “makes strange gestures” which in itself is problematic)

Anyone who has ever seen anything from them knows they will take a single line, and RUN with it. 99.9% of articles they post they literally just make up. all of this makes sense if they are downgrading wow to a PG or rated G rating. That may be their long term plan? IT is currently rated R for sexual themes, alchohol, gore and violence. Maybe they are making it Gore and Violence only ?
