I wonder what your reaction would be if someone kicked you for an inane reason, like ‘bad transmog’, cause I’m pretty sure your reaction wouldn’t be “Oh, they’re not abusing vote kicks…”
Everything outside of statistical, peer reviewed data is basically assumption… We might as well just close the forums if we remove assumption and personal experience. I know what my experiences are with the system, obviously I am not alone.
It took Blizzard 20 years to figure out a large portion of the population doesn’t like group content… I don’t think leaning on Blizzard to promptly recognize a slightly broken system is probably a good crutch.
That said I’m perfectly fine with people that like the vote kick system even if they believe its a perfect system… I just don’t agree, that’s not been my experience with it as a pug content healer and I would like to see the system improved.
Everybody gets kicked. Hopefully you can learn from the experience
Even Kings get kicked.
Julaalu has spoken the truth
Is it a stupid reason, yes. Do they have the right to do it, yes. Once again it’s in black and white from blizzard you can’t abuse the vote kick. If they want to kick they have every right to do it. If you’re convinced there is this massive vote kick epidemic of people kicking purely for the lulz, show us some kind of verifiable evidence of this. Show us some kind of verifiable anything where we can see this. Because anecdote that amounts to “trust me bro” is not proof of anything on its own.
There isn’t going to be proof. Unless someone goes out of there way to create a video of spamming vote kick at every Queue. But then it will just be staged for the video.
You would need to make a premade group in your party then and each person would have to throw a kick and requeue with dungeon finder to backfill to kick someone else. All for a sake of a short 5 minute video for proof that isn’t proof?
No one is going to go out of there way and waste their time creating a 5 minute video on vote kick spamming that is staged as fake proof of a vote kick epidemic.
Can you?

Then by your own admission vote kick abuse isn’t a real problem since there’s no proof. It’s just a bunch of people whining because they got kicked from groups and want to make it harder for people to kick because they want to troll.
If you’re going to claim something is a problem, you need to provide some proof of it because anecdote is nothing on its own. People keep complaining about “kick abuse” but in almost every single thread on this junk I’ve seen in the past while, when the OP’s story is questioned and examined, they absolutely deserved the kick and it was a problem of pebcak on their end. Which means the kick feature worked as intended to remove a disruptive member and they’re crying victim because they can’t troll, just like the gankers cried “it’s the death of pvp” when the pvp server type was removed. Because they wanted to try to harass while hiding behind “but muh world PVPeh”.
If people had some kind of verifiable stats to back up their claims PLUS documented instances on video, then they would actually have something. If you had say 5k videos and such showing groups kicking someone and admitting they did it for the lulz, then you would have actual evidence. Otherwise anyone on the internet can claim anything or to be virtually anybody. I could claim on of my parents was the real inventor of windows and the idea was stolen by Bill Gates and try to sue for ownership of Microsoft. However it means NOTHING without proof. Likewise if people who cry kick abuse so often actually provided real proof instead of trying to scream at everyone about “you’re just going along with it because you’re a kick abuser too” and trying to gaslight everyone, people might actually take them more seriously.
Exactly. You already were already inqueue in so there’s some time wasted then if you’re looking at a 10 minute time out that’s more time wasted and then you got to get back in queue again so that’s more time wasted so yeah 10 minutes is more than enough… where they got this 30 minute thing I don’t know but it’s just sadistic… especially when we have so many in here literally admitting to abusing it against people who didn’t deserve to be kicked
LOL. He knows that there is no way to prove this that’s why they keep trying to flag my comment every time I make it about there literally being no way to prove this. Even a GM cannot prove Beyond doubt that the kick was valid because the kicker will just lie. And how do you prove the lying kicker wrong because the GM wasn’t there LOL
They keep asking for proof to be cute because they know there is no way to prove it. The only thing we have here is the word of the person who was kicked
Well as I’ve said it’s because of their behavior we now have follower Dungeons and delves to run solo and like the ghost town of War mode eventually these people won’t have anyone to play the game with because we will all be playing solo in instance content LOL
They abused everybody in PvP Realms until they don’t want to play anymore and now they’re abusing people in dungeons so that they don’t want to play anymore LOL and then when they have no one else to play with they’ll be in here whining about no one being in pugs anymore LOL
5% of the ocean has been explored
“There’s nothing down there”
They all know they would be tossing fits if they were being kicked for no good reason. They’re just trying to be edgy in here for attention
What if they switched places with the yes and no. Put yes on the right and no on the left. If clicking yes which is on the left is a habit to get the screen off their face then they can switch the buttons to make people pay more attention if yes is on the right.
move the stupid kick vote box to the corner of the screen
Bliz has had too many years to figure out that it being dead center makes someone smash anything to get it out of the CENTER of their viewing area. lmao.
Pug Life is not a requirement.
You can walk away from it.
Thats the attitude.
They can just stop playing entirely if they dont like having their game ruined by trolls, lol.
But you know…“MUH MMO’z”…lmao.
Well, we know warmode is dead because the trolls ruined it for others.
Now that we have SOLO dungeons and delves to play…yeah…I can see PUGS being a barren wasteland soon enough if too many trolls keep abusing the kick on innocent players and newbs.
Its almost hilarious.
I was warned before I started playing wow to avoid two things by someone who had played since the game was released way back when…Group content and guilds.
Looks like he was right to warn me off them. lmao
Yeah, the reason is the 4th person knows if he refuses, the group of three will ask the 5th person to join and kick him.
Then you have four people in a group not wanting to play with the fifth. Furthermore a player can, in that situation, just the same way vote “no” regardless. If you have two random people in a group more than willing to get rid of the other one, and a 3-man premade group not wanting to play with one of 'em, why would this constitute as abuse…?
Sorry but your “logical counterargument” ain’t logic-ing.
I wonder what your reaction would be if someone kicked you for an inane reason, like ‘bad transmog’ […]
I have yet to encounter this happening even once in the 17-18 years of playing the game. Not even once. Could folks do it? Sure.
I wouldn’t know the reason I got kicked, unless someone told me. And depending on how a person told you, them saying it could be grounds for harassment. Thus that becomes a reportable offense.
But no, being able to kick anyone from any LFD group with a majority or supermajority vote isn’t abuse. Regardless of the reason.
They all know they would be tossing fits if they were being kicked for no good reason. They’re just trying to be edgy in here for attention
Just because you would lose your head and make 12919 spam posts about it, others wouldn’t. Folks aren’t you, Liolang.
as I said.
They all know they would be tossing fits if they were being kicked for no good reason. They’re just trying to be edgy in here for attention
lmao…denying it doesnt convince anyone here and no one expected anything BUT denial
All these "I got kicked " threads are just adding to the mess.
I want Blizzard to address this soon, even if it’s just to say nothing will change.
If you have two random people in a group more than willing to get rid of the other one, and a 3-man premade group not wanting to play with one of 'em, why would this constitute as abuse…?
What you may have is two people in a group, player 4 and player 5, that just want to play. Player 4 is told by the premade 3 to kick player 5. Player 4 does not want to kick player 5 but feels “If I don’t do as they say, they will tell player 5 to kick me”. That should not result in a penalty to either player 4 or 5.
