Keeps telling me to update retail when trying to launch BC

Its just saying that because you cant log into BC as it is being patched

do not system restore
do not try and scan/fix your WTF/Cacha file for TBC Classic
do not restart bnet 20 times thinking it will fix
do not reinstall Classic

now why they need 8 hour maintenance for a game thats game files and state already exists idk, i imagine it gives them time to cube cr— innovate on upcomming features

Yeah it looks like the update download fixed the issue as its not telling me I have an outdated version anymore.

Same error when I try and launch TBC.
“An updated version of World of Warcraft is available. Please launch the Battle.net app to download the update.”

Some joker stated to uninstall b.net and re-install. Did that, did nothing. Same error.

I just closed the battlenet and re-opened it and it started downloading. However look to the top right hand side of screen, next to your name and the bell icon. you should see a tray icon with a down arrow. click on that and see if you have a download.

I hit “Play” and it switches the launcher over to retail. I try to launch from the wow folder and it does the same thing.

i will NOT play retail blizzard stop this nonsense

Hmm not sure then. Honestly on mine it just started a download on its own and poof problem solved. My son however is still having the same problem so not sure what triggers the fix.

Some are lucky I guess?? Ive done everything. uninstalled/reinstalled cleared cache folders you name it and NOTHING it says im up to date but still get same message
