Keep playing WoW like a good person if you dont want to lose content

Hey remember how you are punished for not playing an expansion or leaving for a long time because of a terrible patch? And how that causes you to lose stuff that blizzard permanently removes from the game?

Apparently someone tried to do the Sylvanas loyalist questline AND IT IS GONE already, they didnt even wait till BfA ends lmao

So let’s see
Brutosaur is getting removed
Of course some m+ appearances are gonne get removed
Legendary cloak questline is likely gonna get removed like the one in MoP
Mage towers were removed
MoP and WoD challenge mode sets and weapons removed

And now they are gonna start removing more and more, why?

Because it fits the current blizzard ideology.
They dont design the game to be fun, they design the game to be grindy and also timegated at the same time which is a feat tbh, you are punished for leaving a week or two because the grindy/timegated external systems that can be almost 50% of your power require your constant grinding and attention.

8.3 doubled down on the worst aspects of BfA after they said they understood their mistakes in Blizzcon, and instead they doubled down and started removing even RP questlines with no real reward behind other than a sense of character agency.

We know what shadowlands will be now, more grinds, more timegated external system where 50% or more of your character’s power comes from, and more stuff to be removed from BfA and shadowlands so people who dont play get punished and people who do get scared into staying.

If current ideology started in TBC you would be correct. They’ve been making expansion exclusive content for over a decade but gotta completly forget that it doesn’t fit the outrage culture narrative.

Yeah and just like the grinds and timegates, they seem to depend more and more on such type of behaviors in the newer expansions in order to keep players than just casually making fun content and letting people enjoy.

Those were never something new, but now they are double or triple down on such things.

Yeah… because players who aren’t around should be allowed to come back to the game and have everything handed to them that others have been working for.

This isn’t fortnite, we need less instant gratification here.

Keep playing like a good paying player : )

I will, I pay for and play this game because I enjoy it. So you… well, you keep playing and paying because you don’t enjoy it? I guess.

I agree. We got plenty of wod survivors in here - we can do this if we stick together and just endure for 8 months lol

I was talking about removing stuff and its blizzard its been more or less the same stuff new package from the beginning if you havent figured it out yet IDK what to tell you. They are still giving you more content in a patch like this than older expansions I’d just be happy the servers are still up and you can still play the game. /shrug

I’ve taken plenty of breaks over the years and missed out on exclusive stuff.
I’ve never felt punished. Are you an actual child?

Blizzard has been removing stuff since forever, why is it only a big deal now? Seems like people are just complaining because other people have what the ones complaining about want. I saw a gnome riding an Ancient Frostsaber last night and I got super jealous becaue a GNOME was riding it. You have any idea what that person had to do to obtain that mount on a gnome? Needless to say I gave them an in game hi 5 for that.

I dunno, just the fact that they are using that more and more, just like they are focusing more and more on grinding and timegated external powers more and more.

Yeah things exist in the past, but they are tolerable in small doses, these days it is becoming the main meal.

I do understand your complaint and yes it does seem to be a more common trend these days. But there’s nothing we can do about it sadly.

My character never got the murloc costume from the blizzcon that I never went to. This isn’t fair, why is blizzard punishing me for missing things?!?! :sob::sob::sob:

No longer obtainable items or no longer experience-able story quests have been a thing since forever ago.

And honestly.

meh… just meh…

The second someone pulls the “haha you’re a shill but not me as I’m also playing the game and paying for it but no no no you’re the shill just consoom” card their words are hollow to me.

Blizzard SHOULD reward people for paying for a sub longer than those who are not.

It’s getting put in the Black Market AH, it’s not getting removed, it’s getting modified. If you couldn’t buy it during BfA then you shouldn’t worry so much about it an expansion later or 2 or 3 down the road. (You think I complain about not having the T3 plate shoulders? Guess where they are??)

What appearances?? This is news to me.

obviously it’s a theme of the expansion, life goes on the greens will be better than it in Shadowlands.

That was again a theme for the expansion, don’t cry because you missed out, you had ample time like everyone else.

Same as before, if you missed it, you missed it. Life goes on.

As for 8.3, it’s just dailies and the time gates are about the only thing that arbitrarily makes WoW irritating. The rest is literally the same since TBC.

They always say this, they always promise to “do better” and they never come through. I thought everyone understood that by now. I still play because I enjoy my toons and the people I play with.
