this guy is actually 5head wonder why hes here instead of making his own MMO where he could implement what he wants
I could not really disagree with the OP more (at least in the pug experience, community groups are obviously different) when it comes to RBGâs.
That being said I dont see what the issue is, 10v10âs are not being removed. Of course, RBGâs has some pretty glaring issues, thereâs no doubt about it, but if I had to make an educated guess on what drives people away its other people.
I used to push decently high back in the day with pugs but never anything serious, all I can say is post SL people in this mode have gottenâŚweird. I have tons of stories as I am sure we all do, but the bottom line is no one wants to be in voice or group up with people that (to put it very nicely) make you uncomfortable at worst, annoyed at least.
This is valid.
In all the arguing I would like to also point out that the battlegrounds being played on are ancient maps. How many people still run dungeons from the same era?
Without updated rewards only the occasional Mog hunter would do them.

i dont even do rbgs⌠totally not my thing
but to remove game modes⌠imo thats just STUPID
I think it is a great idea.
Great job blizzard
I get where youâre coming from, but if they have too many different brackets to queue in, itâs going to start adding up and will take forever to get a lot of content started with the player-base so divided, and it doesnât help that thereâs several different versions of Warcraft that can currently be played.
Oh, you want RBGs to stay? Well, besides what I mentioned earlier, Iâd happily kick their players while theyâre down. I donât feel sorry for them. Since all they want to do is exclude people and form cliques, and gossip and spread rumors and say some of the nastiest things to each other over comms that I really would rather just see the RBG bracket die. Sorry, not sorry⌠Go do Rated BGs in Cata Classic then
Maybe our guild is an anomaly? Warwagon (in this chat thread) is in our guild and I 100% agree with him. The Dignified on Bladeâs Edge has an RBG push team as well as casual guild RBGs where ppl can learn and grow as pvpers. The push team members host the guild RBGs and are willing to help and teach others, which in turn grows the WoW pvp community!
Our guild does absolutely everything wow has to offer. Very busy, very active and very fun! Taking away what we do in PVP just puts a huge hole in the heart of our guild. Blizz! What ARE you thinking!?
I missed the announcement Winterz was referring too in the OP during my break since January. Reading this thread has been enlightening and almost makes me want to start to PvP again. If 10v10 Rated is removed you can consider it the final nail in the coffin for battleground PvP. They havenât figured out 3v3 solo-queue. Do you think that 8v8 is going to be easier to balance and maintain a healthy environment?
Yes yes I do
Actually itâs the most successful arena bracket by a landslide
And if it was that successful for arena they think it will be for bgs as well and I agree.
Keep 10v10 and add a partial group/yolo que option so smaller groups of players can que and be matched with other partial groups with similar average MMR?
That way you give people that want to que rbgs with small groups of friends an rbg option while feeding more players into 10v10 RBGs to help bolster the population?
Could maybe match partial teams of players together to form a team taking into account MMR in other rated brackets in some way so people wouldnât be permanently trapped at yolo MMR (e.g., highest current season title used to match w/teammates))? Team MMR for matchmaking vs opposite team could still based on the average RBG MMR of the groups.
Its already been gone anyway.
Every video about rbgs iâve ever watched has been grown men usually raging and most people talking over each other.
And have only ever shrunk in size
Retaining the grand total of under 200 players that are still on the rbg ladder will not make or break this game.
The reason rbgs are dead is not because of blizzard⌠its because its a bracket run by and for toxic cliques that push everyone else out been that way for a hot minute actually.
And also a lot of exploiters on the ladder to like the dc chain chrono loop bug users.
If they remove Rbgs, maybe it would force Rbgers to do some arenas. Rbgers refuse to do arenas because they canât think for their-selves in real time.
At the end of the day its a dead game mode getting what it has long deserved.
Maybe they dislike the pillar humping.
Itâs because theyâd be bad at it and can get further in Rbgs than they can arenas. Itâs also difficult to break the barrier to get into arenas.
No point in becoming good at something I hate. The cringiest things Iâve seen in PVP. âQuick run around the pillarâ lmao.
I get it, but itâs so dumb that itâs even a thing.
If you mained a Warlock or Healer, youâd be happy that pillars exist xD
Seconding this.
As someone who recently resubbed, I know you guys at blizzard are often extremely pigheaded on design decisions, as seen by the horrible 5v5 change in overwatch, shadowlands and mop remix.
I draw the line at this.
I decided to give you guys another chance.
You will make me regret that.
