That sounds like a DPS problem, ever try holding back? Or is adjusting to the new mechanics that hard?
No just pointing out how ridiculously easy it has become. These advisors have less HP than most trash mobs
You think private servers made no money? That’s funny… You should stop talking
You think private servers made no money?
Where did I say that they didn’t?
Just did Kael for the first time since the nerf… it does seem a bit too much, advisors were dying before we could get them into the right position
It felt like the advisors lost a lot more phase 1 health than phase 3 health.
elitist much?
Yep. The issue with the first time they were going to spring the nerf was the lack of warning.
This time we had plenty of warning. We’ve had weeks. Now, is the time to prepare for next phase. That’s what this is about, allowing guilds to catch up and be ready for next phase. This phase is done and winding down.

Clearly not biased when you’re 8/10
It’s wild because NOBODY would’ve cared if they pushed these nerfs out with P3 release. NOBODY.
Yes, they would have. A majority of guilds that were 8/10 were waiting til nerfs and were excited the were announced a month ago. When it was pushed back 4 weeks, people just started quitting.

Did they? Because last I heard this was 15 year old content that we can’t be elitist about
I don’t think everyone should clear the content, and that’s an honest take. Have you considered that TBC in general is just a dry expansion?
Yeah but you’re 8/10 Guild stuck around.
You also have no actual proof why those other guilds quit
This experience has actually opened my eyes to how bad the average player is.
Simple three to four mechanics per boss and half the population can’t beat it…
It’s kind of crazy

I mean people take the game at whatever pace they like, but what I don’t appreciate is trying to drag the content down to their level, whilst calling people elitist for wanting a challenge.
Thank god Wrath added Heroic raids later on, but I feel like it’s going to be the same story in Ulduar.
Yea I was looking forward to WOTLK raids as I have never done them.
I was also looking forward to the increased difficulty, I prefer harder fights and more of a progression raid style over target dummies.
Looking at it tho heroic raids don’t come out till much later in wotlk.
Yeah my guild disbanded.
A month and a half ago.
I’m not of the view that everyone deserves to get every boss down. But those that can by now have. This tier is pretty much done for those guilds able to do it.
How many Vashj wipes?

What I tend to find is that the average player doesn’t generally have the skills / knowledge / drive to maximize their class’s output.
For guilds that do have a majority of players doing this, the challenge of vashj/Kael, which were primarily mobile DPS checks (pre nerf Vashj had some RNG mixed in with kind controls and sporebat damage), aren’t particularly hard.
For guilds that have DPS that don’t min/max their spec/gear/rotation with modern theorycraft, and don’t have the comfort level with their rotation to do it while they have to do other things, harsh dps checks are road blocks.
Sure, those players are bad by today’s standards of maximized play, but an 8/10 guild pre-nerf today is still better than most guilds were back then.
Some of the road block was time though. The lower dps of those raiders (my guild included) often run into raid times limiting progression fairly severely. The trash in SSC/TK burned so much damn time…
But hey, we are heading into a new tier where old guides advise 8-10 healers to clear. I don’t think it’ll be our DPS that hold us back much in T6. Time limitations still will though.
yeah, things die so quick on vashj that there’s nothing to really dps in p2.
I still find it amazing how many people were bickering that p3 isn’t out yet but when they make a nerf fhey go all cry baby
You’re an elitist because you are gatekeeping to an extreme degree.
You’re not even arguing for a lesser nerf but outright no nerf.
If you want a challenge, then do split runs and stop crying that more people will be able to enjoy T6 when it comes out rather than be a month behind.
It’s hardly gate keeping when players don’t enchant, raid in pvp spec, refuse to do 5 mins of research on their class and the raid encounter.
Lazy players don’t deserve to clear content much like lazy people IRL don’t deserve subsidies. Rewarding them just validates their laziness and perpetuates the cycle.
If an employee shows up late without their uniform and refuses to review the 3 page training manual and you don’t admonish said employee or worse, you reward them; you can expect other employees to be rightfully upset. I suspect you would be calling these folks elitist in your world.
