Just...too much!

I dont see WoW 2 gaining new people either. MMOs arent going to be a trendy fad until there is some jump in technology that makes them different.

WoW with a new engine/story isnt going to set anything on fire. It will still play the same.

As a psych grad who’s been diagnosed with things like ADD and ADHD by people who want to sell me lab-made drugs to make me a better yes-man, I have to say you’re simply disorganized mentally.

You have a large load of tasks and activities and 3 80’s. You have to make some decisions. First one I’d make is to pick a single 80 and wrap your head around the whole game for a week or two or however long it takes.

Then, apply your knowledge to other characters. If you only do a little on each, it can be difficult to connect all those neurons in your cranium.

Good luck!

Does this “reset” or “maintenance” have a ETA?

You’re not meant to do everything. You’re meant to always have options for things to do.

Nah,

"Gasoline is generally very close to one hundred percent water free, when delivered to the store, except in the case of so called gasohol, which has around ten percent of ethanol mixed in with the gasoline. Ethanol attracts water, but the water stays in solution with the ethanol, so you seldom even know it’s in there.

The trucks that deliver gasoline are loaded thru filters in the loading lines, and the gas pumps at stores typically also have filters to catch water and trash in the gas.

But there’s usually a little bit of water, a few drops to a few ounces, in the bottom of the tank of a car, which gets there because of condensation, over time.

This amount of water seldom causes any trouble, because it’s sucked on thru with the gasoline, a few drops at a time, as it accumulates, so there’s seldom enough to cause any problems. A few drops might make your engine idle rough for a few seconds, that’s about all.

If there’s enough water in your gas tank to cause a problem, it’s probably because something is wrong with your car, allowing more condensation than usual in the tank, or because you bought some gasoline from a store that isn’t taking proper care of the gas pumps." -Glen McMillian Via Quora.

There’s a lot to do in the game so I can understand how sometimes you can feel lost or overwhelmed. But overall it’s a very good thing. Here’s what I’ve been doing in game:

I’ve leveled my main and my main alt. I’m now working on a 3rd, a resto shaman.

Leveled professions. The economy is booming right now. It’s really the best expansion to make gold so far. Prices are holding but not crazy. Farming is actually worth your time. I’ve also done some AH flipping but that’s cornered by bots so it;s hard for regular players like me to make it worth it. I farm leather and chitin. Put on a movie or music and go to town for hours. I’ve made millions. Also wax farming on my mining/herb alt.

I’ve gotten up to lvl 11 delves. They’re a cake walk since the nerfs. Even Zek’vir.

I’ve sucessfully pugged the entire normal raid. My bf and I aren’t sure if we want to commit to a raiding guild. we did that for years, so for now we’re pugging. It’s so far been sucessful. On to heroic next.

M+! Slowly but surely we’re progressing to keymaster. This is a huge part of the game for me. It’s a challenge like a raid but you can do it whenever and with whomever. It’s frustrating esp if you have to pug but can be so rewarding.

Mount farming. There are tons of new mounts to farm for.

There’s also battle pet collection which I haven’t really started yet.

As far as lore goes, the “why are we doing all this”. It’s a 20 year old game with roots that go back even longer. It’s going to take some time to dive into. I’ve played off and on since '09 and I’m just now starting to care about lore. The easiest way for me is to watch YouTube videos. In game story telling sucks. It’s complicated and disjointed. But watching a video while I fall asleep really helps. There are even tldr videos about the entrie history of warcraft. Start with those then dive deeper.

Sorry this is long but maybe this can help you focus a bit more. Pick what you want, do that, then branch out from there. Don’t get overwhelmed with all there is to do. This is a game. Do what’s fun and don’t worry about the rest! <3

that’s good, I need to go pickup my wife’s groceries in an hour and drop off the dog at the groomers…Liquor store might be open just in time!

New story, new game, new engine… Those come out every year?
Some play those, while many of us are happy still playing WoW.

Very true. MMO’s are on the down turn right now. These kid’s now love fortnite and stuff. I tried to get my cousins into WoW there 5,8,10 and I take care of them, and they wanted to play fortnite instead… Lol

What was the topic again?

I didn’t want to quote the entire post, but I agree with all of this. Having more things to do is excellent because it provides variety to every kind of player.

If you’re a person who loves professions then there is something for you! The same goes for solo battle content, large battle content and mid-sized.

Pet battling and micro-event content in the open world with challenging puzzles and enemies are a thing too. In terms of content diversity and volume, WoW is in a golden age and I’m here for it.

Now my chief concern with all of that is the quality assurance of it all. There are a myriad of bugs across the game and questionable balance decisions that sour an otherwise great experience.

Please fix these, Blizzard.

I’ve focused down on one character for the moment, to be the best I can be on him. Season 1 of M+ is here, and my team finally got our avengers assembled last night (first night whole xpac where all the regulars could make it). It was a great first night with many more to come.

I still don’t understand the purpose of this thread…this is one of those rambling nonsense threads, right?

Yes. 1234567

I really am trying my best to keep up with it!

I have the solution to your problem. Level a new character to 80 and do the whole main story campaign but this time: take your time and read the quest text and don’t skip the dialogue/ cut scenes. Also you can solve your other issue by going with double gatherer. (Mining/herbing/skinning)

this is a great idea!

I’m glad there’s a game called Fortnite for them to enjoy, so Blizz doesn’t feel a need to turn WoW into Fortnite. Variety is good. Blizz seems to be doing ok for themselves. Millions of subscribers at $15/month… even if the exact number of millions goes up and down, that’s still a level of stability most game companies only wish they had.
