So is “Karen” a slur or not? Is it considered calling people names or not? There was a thread shut down and someone reprimanded for “calling people names” by using that term but when I objected to it’s use here on the forums I was told it’s fine to use. It was used by multiple people including someone with green text.
So is it a slur, name calling, etc, or not? I think it is a racist, sexist, ageist term but I’m unclear as to who is allowed to use it and who isn’t.

Only Karens can use it. That is THEIR word.
Slur is a word of insult about an immutable trait.
Being entitled isn’t an immutable trait.
That said, saying things to be rude will still give you the risk of action taken.

Bottom line, it’s Blizzard who makes the rules and decides what is considered inappropriate name calling. Not players. So if someone was sanctioned for using said term, then that’s a hint Blizzard considers it an inappropriate word.
