I like Pathfinder. I get the time to experience everyone on the ground, engaging in content. Then the people who like to fly get their time and I swallow it because I had mine.
Itās funny, I started in TBC so had no issue with flying, I even saved for it as I leveled. Then came all these people saying flying is bad, mostly pvpers. So now I canāt have nice things because I refuse to do pathfinder. It takes at least as long to do it as you get to use it, facts. The only way youāre one-up on that is if youāve been doing said things beforehand. Which is not me. So I donāt fly. And I honestly cannot think of a single way (outside of pvp) in which the game is better for it. Iād rather they just brought back pvp servers and disallowed flying on them, honestly. Thatās the problem, thereās literally no other problem, unless you consider someone taking 3 seconds to fly a 12 second switchback a problem, which I personally do not.
Except you still have a choice to stay on your ground mount. Wanting everyone to play your way is just selfish.
You saved for flying as you leveled? In BC? You mean basic flying, I assume, the one with 60% speed.
Nah I was Herb/Chanting, and just sold the herbs and a lot of the chanting mats. I had fast flight a couple hours into 70.

because that zone would be mostly dead. Despite the squeaking from a very vocal minority they are a very small minority.
I mean, you can āchooseā to not equip a weapon too. A choice that is suboptimal in every conceivable way isnāt really a choice in a multiplayer game.
Play with themselves? 
Instead of creating new servers just modify CRZ and Warmode sharding for flight/non flight
Then those can enjoy staying on the ground since youll be phased to only see others with that option

Not even in the same ballpark for comparison. Staying on the ground is a choice. Everyone was on the ground before flying was available so the game can clearly be played that way so it would be a choice to stay on the ground if thatās a more fun option.
I agree. I wonder what would happen if Blizzard made a Retail server with no flying for the no flying crowd. Theb release those no flying at launch servers with flying launch servers during Shadowlands initial release. Let those that want this so bad play without flying by themselves. If there are so many it should not be an issue and they might actually enjoy the game more. Meanwhile the rest of us can enjoy flying from the start.
The other option I like is giving flying from the start for most Shadowlands zones but make the end game zone The Maw no flying.

I always look forward to when flying is unlocked. But I also can see why the developers donāt want us flying over everything from the start.

Oh you mean like all other MMOs that have flying? Like FF14? Or BDO? GW2?
Then they should just go play classic, no flying, no QoL systems to frakk with āimmersionā, all the things the no-fly crowd wants. They can always not fly if its implemented, I canāt do the reverse. And the whole āwhy should I have to gimp myselfā argument is nothing but feelings.
I fully realize that I cant change thier minds, but they also canāt change mine. So when blizzard supports them Iām no longer going to pay for blizzards game. They can feel free to do the same.

And this is a classic example of hypocrisy. You didnāt really enjoy running, you enjoyed the race. Because of that, your perceived enjoyment of running goes down when everyone else isnāt limited to doing the same as you. An MMORPG isnāt a āraceā, you either enjoy the game on the ground no matter what everyone else is doing, OR you really just enjoy your perceived competition with other players, so you āhave to fly to keep upā.

I have a better idea. How about retail has no flying and they create a BfA server for you to stay in and fly.
Which is why people like you should not be in a fantasy world with flying. Blizzard should make a server for you and your ilk to be eternally tied to the ground. Your argument is if there are cars why would I run? The solution seems to be to remove cars. But people who have cars do not want them removed. The only solution is to give your ilk a world without cars. If you want a classic experience in modern wow you can have it, just do not impose it on the rest of us. I hope Blizzard just gives no flight servers for your kind so the rest of us can enjoy flight from the start.
If its a server that has flying from the start Id jump right in. Take my $$ Blizzard

If they announced separate servers with flight enabled, even if there was a reasonable (6-8 weeks or so) PF1 I have 14 toons I be paying to transfer to them.
