Wanna know the “reasons”? Taelia has proven herself to the faction that is letting her fly in their airspaces. Flyn as well.
You disregard too much lore for your argument to stand on its own two feet.
The value in being grounded is something you disregard about the entire game’s experience. Why should blizzard care about the experience of a player that doesn’t genuinely appreciate the world they’ve created? If it’s tedious and not fun, why are you still here? It’s not 2012 anymore, there are so many actual 10/10 games out there. Go have fun. I am having so much fun in WoW, I can’t even put it into words how much I enjoy the game currently. People say it is the worst expansion, I say it is the best. People will love or hate you for whatever you do.
I disagree. Once PF 1 is done I have spent weeks running around the content and exploring the Lore. There is nothing new added after those weeks that justifies continually keeping us grounded.
Seems she wasn’t time gated until 8.2 so no that argument doesn’t hold water either. She may have the rep but didn’t have to wait until 8.2.
I’m having fun in wow right now because I can fly. I won’t be buying SL until flying is close to being released. It’s a less fun game when I can’t fly.
There is no value in being grounded once you’ve done all the content.
Ok, I did not say I did not want flying. I just disagree with the initial sediment of this thread and those that want instant flying.
I find it amusing how polarized opinions are here and how narrowly comments are made without consideration. I am not saying you are being this way, obviously Pathfinder is something you are ok with but dislike the grind.
I did not notice the grind because I wanted all those elements on my main anyway. The expanse of time from PF1 to PF2 was greater than I liked if I was going to critique the experience.
I found exploring all zones is reasonable. Gaining reputation of factions is reasonable. Completing specific storyline quests is reasonable.
Annoying part the time it took before each segment was available and figuring out what I needed to do; Zandalar Forever was all over the place and not linear. That was my experience with completing it.
This is why I would prefer most zones being unlocked for flying once PF 1 comes out, then we get all world flying in SL with PF 2. Basically keep everything flying except THE MAW.
Not flying when everyone else is, is intentionally gimping yourself.
You’ll get to mobs slower, nodes slower.
The argument of ‘if you don’t like it then don’t do it’ is incredibly ignorant here.
For clarification, I don’t think the game is more fun with flying, or better, or whatever.
I’m actually neutral on this topic.
But my opinion is the fact that… if you like flying so much, maybe play a flying simulation? Airplane simulation?
I’m here to kill things and finish quests, and I don’t really care how I get there. Ground, flying.
The game isn’t in the air, and that’s what pro-flyers imply, especially when they throw tantrums about quitting over not having flying.
How about firing off the people asking about flying on the same weekend as the EXPANSION REVEAL into the sun in a massive rocket shaped like a World of Warcraft shaped mount?
Give flying a cooldown, like flight-master’s whistle. You can use your flying mount once every 5 minutes for as long as you like. Beyond that, you’re stuck with you 600% ground mount, which you bought when you got Friendly/Honored with all three factions.
People have been complaining about pathfinder for six years to no avail. I don’t think blizzard is going to change it back. Don’t worry. When classic wrath comes out, you can buy flying at lvl 77!
