And let the rest of us that enjoy flying get it from the start. This will give those people who crave the server community to be tied to the ground what they want while letting us enjoy flying from the start. Keep all other instanced content cross server play whatever it is as is between these communities so we can still raid and dungeon crawl together.

They could just make a flying mode and a non flying mode. Easy enough just like warmode. Of course the non flying people would ask for all sorts of bonuses because just playing the way they want won’t be enough for them.

The no flying thing has always been developer driven, not player driven. They just have a few supporters is all.

I think the current iteration of pathfinder is good. It gives enough time for the masses to fully explore and appreciate the content that the developers created for us in its intended design. It also gives many of us a goal to work towards.

Whenever someone tells me that I do not appreciate the content until a full year passes I just barf. No one can tell me how I have to appreciate things. I appreciate the content more than ever when its not time gated and I can fly. Waiting a year to unlock it makes me loathe it more than anything once I actually unlock it.

Changes are sometimes made when a greater majority want something. It’s like the removal of pvp servers, most people didn’t want to pvp but were forced to play on them for various reasons.
This thread is evidence the pro-flight crowd have absolutely no idea why people want no flying.

Because if I try to engage in PvP with someone, they just fly away. And if I want to get somewhere, why walk when you can fly. When flying is the norm, no sane human will pick path of high resistance, they’ll go with what’s easier, so when there’s no flying, as in 8.0 and 8.1, I enjoy the game the most. Which is why I’ll enjoy pre-pathfinder era of 9.0 9.1, ty very much.
Also without flying you see people walking and running around, while with flying they just land, loot something or kill a mob, then fly away, this is why most MMORPGs don’t do flying, it’s bad for the game and devs know it, be happy you can fly at least half the expansion, if the devs had stones they’d remove it altogether.

If someone flies away from you in a pvp situation then they didn’t want to engage with you. Also if they’re in combat they can’t mount so you sound like you want an easy gank target and are mad flying makes it harder for you to gank.
If you HAVE to choose flying then you value efficiency over what you claim is fun.

If it’s all about doing everything in shortest amount of time, what’s the point of playing an MMORPG? Play a game where you can queue up and play, travel/journey is part of MMORPG games, sounds like MMORPG games aren’t really your thing, so you try to change them into something else that is.

It’s a video game. Where you have a multitude of activities that appeals to a multitude of different playstyles. It’s played for fun.
You say not flying is more fun yet mount up on a flying mount to play in a way that is less fun for you. Hypocrite.

When flying is in the game, it’s designed with flying in mind.
Look at argus, it wasn’t planned for flying, and I enjoyed it. Same way I’ll enjoy 9.0 and 9.1 if I play it, and no matter how much you cry and scream, you won’t be able to fly until 9.2.
