Just let the Jailor win

He’s not going to win. If he does, he’ll subjugate all of reality, which there would be no coming back from. Just because people keep comparing him to Thanos (when he’s really more of an expy of Darkseid) doesn’t guarantee that this expansion will end like Infinity War.

The expansion’s been savaged by many for being poorly written, yet people unironically want the writers to make it worse by having all of our accomplishments in working with the Covenants amount to nothing. And like Killerfrost said, the Jailer is such a non-character that having him win would be an insult, if anything.

no sir no matter how much you advertise I will not apply for a job at blizzard. I don’t like eating and sleeping in my car. I don’t like skipping lunch also.

Oh man that “there’s a hidden team working on other things” sounds like a dream when the last news are OW2 Delay (which it was really similar to OW like an expansion with story instead of a new game), D4 Delay and Diablo Inmortal was announced on 2018 for Mobile and it’s still not out but i think that one is being work by an outsourcing company.

The Jailer winning means all life on Azeroth gets wiped out. You can’t build a game on a world that’s dead.

A WoW 2 is a bad idea for many reasons. It’s not needed and would ultimately destroy the Warcraft series, Blizz would lose everything on that gamble for no reason. Just because you don’t like the game as it is now doesn’t mean they have to scrap it for the rest of us. Things can be changed just fine in patches and expansions.

There is a huge difference that people, mostly wow players, dont understand.

FF14 is good BECAUSE of its failures. They learned, they improved, and due to their relation with their playerbase, the people who were playing then, and did not left because of minor setbacks, were sure enough to stay there. And many went back because they did not liked the game as it was, but stayed in touch knowing it could get better.

Blizzard does not inspire that kind of trust. Blizzard is now know as a company that will insist in mistakes, and will not apologize for their blatant errors, nor they will admit they ever made any. They also will blame the player:

  • If the game is not fun, it is because you dont know how to have fun
  • If the system doesnt strike you as genius, is because you are dumb
  • If the story doesnt seem right, it is because you are ignorant of it
  • If the you dont understand the concept of the art, it is because you are uneducated

That is the difference.
You might not ever had a question answered in a Q&A, but if you are a true fan of FF, you feel like what you say in streams, forums and social media matters.
Blizzard, you might not think what you have to say matters even if you work there as a lead something.

Well said. Like the amount of times Blizzard has just refused to listen or acknowledge their mistakes is mind boggling. Even with flight, they couldn’t just admit they screwed up and give it back they had to be as spiteful as possible with these timegated pathfinder hoops to jump through.

THEN THEY DOUBLE DOWN AND SAY NO MOUNTING IN THE MAW?

Are you KIDDING me?

I have seen them apologize before. But it is always just words with just enough actions to get you off their back before they fall back into their old ways.

They always regress.

Why let the worst villain in the history of wow villains be successful? Narratively and story wise he’s horribly generic and in my head cannon… SL and it’s story doesn’t exist.

Making wow 2 with the same Devs, same story team and same greedy leadership would be a terrible mistake.

How bout no shadowlands has been a amazing expansion for me at least

But he was also going to remake the world/universe with us serving him. So by his “brilliant” plan he would be keeping us/everyone around or making clones to place in his new reality.

And honestly I can see Blizz using this setup as a reason to at least change some of the zones on Azeroth to update their stories or introduce new quests by having the Jailer start his plan by beginning to change Azeroth and the heroes stopping him before he’s wiped and rebuilt everything.

Cool, it’s been a guild and friendlist killer for me. I bet if they still released sub numbers it’d be at all time lows with all the data used to gain an approximate number of active players.

I agree with this. Wow needs a reset… A lore reset.

It’s called “Classic WoW” my friend.

‘new’ expansion called Wrath coming soon!

I saw the title and immediately was reminded of playing Alliance in Alterac Valley. “Just let them win :sob:.”

Ignoring the fact that The Jailer winning would make all of Azeroth the Shadowlands and specifically the Maw, the most uninteresting part OF the Shadowlands…

Considering the apparent skill disparity between the writers for WoW (currently) and the writers and artists for The legend of Zelda series, I don’t at all wanna see how they mutilate an attempt at that narratively and artistically…

MoP writers/artists? Maybe… BFA/SL’s? No, no nononononono…
