ITS A GAME! Come on. You are using WoW as a parallel to teach children how the world works? I really dont understand what you are trying to build your argument up as.
And this gem. What does this have to do with World of Warcraft? We have to use WoW as a mechanism to teach children some sort of lesson about the work and pay structure? You are reaching soooo far on this.
How about teaching children this. If you feel a cause is important to you, you find people who feel the same way. You work hard to make your voice heard and gain support for your cause. If you garner enough support and have a reasonable and good cause, you can effectively change something which you think is unfair, or that you feel would be for the better good?
Thats if we are still trying to make WoW this life lesson teaching mechanism.
If not. Just give players the ability to access the cool things that they want.
Other people being able to access a challenge as a challenge and getting the rewards doesn’t harm other players.
Your happiness does not depend on other people not having what you have.

You said this, in response to a long, tortured discourse over changing how the game prestige system works specifically so you can get a retry at the MT appearances - is there any other way to see it other than comparing changing the game principles to suffrage? I know your new to the conversation but I personally don’t want any of the mage tower appearances that I don’t already have, I just want others to have access to them.
Would you be against it coming back as long as it was challenging to obtain? If so then post why your against it. Preferably for reasons other than “Because Blizzard promised” because they never actually promised that they would never return. Unless someone can link me to a post saying otherwise.

I never understand why people would defend exclusivity… Exclusive deals, items, or even full on video games do not benefit the community nor the individual player ever. They only exist as a market trap and nothing more…
On a side note, I don’t care about this Mage Tower appearance thing. Just adding my quick two-cents on exclusivity as an idea as a whole. I just don’t understand why anyone as a consumer would defend exclusivity… It’s bad for us.
If those who demand will form an organization, will conduct campaigning, go to rallies and all that … Then you say that “the skin of a druid is equal to the struggle for rights”?

welcome to an mmorpg where players want ways to show their accomplishments. that’s where exclusive rewards come into play do better and stop crying.
it’s not hard to understand that there’s players that play for the prestige and accomplishment where as others just play for mostly fun. just because the two ideologies don’t always mesh, doesn’t mean it’s ok to take away from one, in this case the prestigious player.

Suffrage was the movement by mostly women to earn the right to participate in democracy, to get the right to vote.
How you can compare getting an time-locked skin through collective moping on the forums to what women did to get the vote is absurd. It should not require explanation frankly.
You still accomplished the obstacle of the Mage Tower.
Other people overcoming that obstacle today does not take away from your having overcome the obstacle.
