If exclusivity wasn’t desirable in this game, we wouldn’t have a Mage tower thread every other day.
The main appeal of Mage Towers, out of the hundreds upon hundreds of possible transmog options is that they no longer exist.

As someone who has been playing since 2004 and has a lot of stuff that can no longer be acquired, stuff that shows I was there and did the content at the time. . . I 100% agree.
I hate it when they take stuff out of the game. I would not mind at all if players now could get the stuff I got back then. Personally, I think if players want to have things few other have then they should get them early, when the content is relevant. Then they have those things for upwards of a two or three years before the content becomes trivial or soloable. And by the time that happens won’t they already have the latest difficult to get stuff from new content anyway? I see no reason why stuff needs to be, like, exclusive forever.
Maybe I just don’t get it. To me, things aren’t fun just because other people can’t have them, but maybe I’m just some kind of weirdo.

that means nothing - all those people could have started in the last 3 years that switched - there is no indication many long term players did.
lol, it was easy for blizzard to put it back in the game.
They can just recolor most of those mage tower appearances and add them back into the game.

Funny enough this is what i told most of my friend in FFXIV, only WOW player ask for less content and more grind content.

yes they could but last time they put in the MoP challenge mode recolors into the game, people complained they were too much work as well.
I’m for this. Recolors mean more for me to collect, too, so it benefits everyone.
Honestly I just wish they’d do more solo challenges like them. Torghast isn’t really comparable because it’s forced content and the cosmetic rewards are weak; I’d love more Mage Tower style challenges with similar skins or other cool skins too.

I’m not sure how many people want the mage tower thing back. (That seems to be lost in these threads).
I think they just want their druid alt to have the special bear form appearance. Not the colors, just the shape.

I wouldn’t care about mage tower skins if it didn’t mean that my druid (who I did not play during Legion, not that I played much during legion) can’t get some of the really cool looking bear forms. The weapon skin I can live without, but the forms being tied to something I can no longer do to get the form is ridiculous now that I’ve started playing the druid.
Just my opinion though.

The models are what was limited though.
People stayed subbed to the very end of Legion because they knew they were going away. The tactic worked. No one would ever trust Blizz again if they brought back the models.
Ask for new cool models and no one would object.

I still think there should be a challenge to get the recolor then, but maybe that’s just me.
I would object less if they let people earn the recolors elsewhere but I don’t want to see that mage tower coming back because that would involve too much and people would just complain endlessly about it.

The MoP challenge modes recolors were just for legion rep or campaign (can’t remember exact requirements) and people complained that was too hard.
Yeah, but I played and paid for a subscription during legion - I was a faithful customer and when I got my appearances it took a good deal of effort to get that and it’s something I remain proud of.
I don’t agree with devaluing other people’s achievements because you missed out. I missed out on somethings I covet now but I wouldn’t demand that they bring it back to satisfy me, those people were engaged with the game when I wasn’t, they earned it, they should be able to enjoy it and that includes its exclusivity.

No, the appearance was limited. They’re free to use the model and make it pink. It’s a difference appearance.
You earned the grey colored werebear. Not the pink one.

They could open up the Mage Tower every time Legion timewalking is available, or something. I think that would be neat.

And the recolors are still available if you got the base one from the tower. I finally got the PVP Black Bro-bear the other day.
You needed the base version of all the Artifact appearances to get the alt colors.

Those specific recolors. I’m speaking about them adding new colors.
Which is fine as long as it requires the original like every other Artifact appearance.
They’re gone bro. You’ll live without the Bro-bear. Go get the Balance of Power neon Bear if you want something cool that’s still in the game.
