Just Let Everyone Get The Mage Tower Appearances

Not disputing that. I’m just pointing out that Zoomers don’t have patience for nonsense. There are just too many gaming options these days. If they can’t get exactly the thing they want, most of them will just leave for a game where they can get exactly the thing they want. I’m a millennial, so I am older, but I’ve always been out-of-time with my zoomer-like sensibilities, hence the average age-range of my friends.

The reason I bring this up is because these are the people Blizzard needs to be targeting if they want to get WoW back on its feet. Older gamers have already played WoW, and many of them are simply done with it - no matter what changes.

If Blizzard starts incentivizing joining (an awesome new RAF program, exclusivity repeal, and a renewed focus on the questing experience), they would see a major boom in subscription numbers. WoW’s “end game” is also not as popular with younger gamers. Many of them opt to do peripheral activities rather than organize raids. Not just in WoW, but in any MMO. Big cooperative efforts aren’t as fun as they were back when they were a novel concept. WoW needs more max-level activities that are rewarding. but not related to raiding. Archeology is brilliant. The Timeless Isle was great, too. I’d like to see more systems and areas like those in the future, and an increased emphasis on those things over constantly trying to build a bigger and better raiding experience.

I’m on unemployment, so it is kind of just handed to me.

Which is why no one wears judgement (any of the colors) or the cursed vision of sargeras. ohh wait.

Umm… good? The reason to stay should be lots of cool things to do, not out of FOMO. This is supposed to be a fun game, not a mental health experiment.

Its not a bait and switch when the “bait” is dog poop and the switch is cleaning it up. That’s called releasing bad content with ill intent and then gaining a conscience.

Bring in vanilla Naxx timewalking so we can get t3 (I know the bmah exists, I have 2 full t3 sets from it) and Corrupted Ashbringer and then I’ll say its fair to bring back mage tower appearances, and MoP/WoD cm armor/weps.

No.

Thanks for participating.

Ion, is that you?

I held off on FF14 for the same reason - feeling like it’s way too late to jump in. Then I found out their level of FOMO is so far beneath WoW. Not regretting a 6-month FF14 sub.

I have many close friends (including my best friend) that have jumped ship, but - and it’s totally fair to call me shallow or superficial here - the races and general aesthetic don’t appeal to me. But I am glad there’s a worthy competitor nowadays!

FOMO is literally killing the game.

it’s literally not

No war in Ba Sing Se either

If I would be Ion the game would be actually good.

It literally is.

Yes. And there are hundreds of weapons and armor.

Here is the issue with just the Guardian Druid form. It is a completely unique model. All the other bear ones, are still bears. Now other MT appearances are unique and desirable as well. The flails for Pally and Warrior. But there are hundreds of weapon appearances. There are a handful of druid forms. A lot of them are largely similar. Except the Werebear.

I will say that if the Demo Lock MT appearance gave a Unique appearance to the Felguard, and say changed it into a Pit Lord. You would see the same complaint.

I am all in favor of your suggestion on new challenges. I think the MT appearances need to be brought back. With some new high rez additions. But have a new challenge on par with what the mage tower was.

And I will say. I am starting to play and enjoy guardian druid. I would very much like a chance at the MT Guardian Werebear model… And I wouldnt mind a crack at the UH DK model as well.

Are you saying the reason the game is dying is because of the mage tower appearances being locked? Lmfao

Exclusivity does not matter whether you played or not, and does not care about your feelings. The entire reason for exclusivity is literally to get it in a limited time.

Your argument is quite silly, again.

Transmog because of that is different than transmog because of something like Mage Tower. If you don’t see it, that’s fine, but no. It stays exclusive. Doesn’t matter how much you gripe or groan, it should always remain like that.

Apparently not easy enough to get if people did not get them.

Cool, I don’t want more bears running around like that.

If they made something similar, it’s fine, but the entire point, quite literally, of exclusivity is that not everyone has it. It doesn’t matter the reason as to WHY people don’t have it, just that not everyone has it. Again, exclusivity does not cater to people’s feelings, nor do it care about them.

Nobody wants to feel superior. The entire reasoning for exclusivity, is again, to be exclusive. It’s not a superiority thing in the slightest, it’s how they advertised, it’s also what the promise of exclusivity means. Letting people have it deters entirely from the premise of it. You don’t care, I do. No.

Cool, again, no.

Agreed. Most people are too blind to see what’s right in front of them, but you get it.

Timed exclusivity for items that are deprecated and purely exist for transmog purposes is parasitic game design. MOP armor, WOD weapons, Legion appearances, all had the most effort put into them by the artists and yet so few players ever got them.

Why does Blizzard handle the game in such a manner? Pretty simple, they prey on human psychology by implementing FOMO mechanics to boost those quarterly numbers, and they do this ALL THE TIME. They’re a slave to shareholders, and have been for a long time.

You are mentally ill.

Thanks, you too.
