from someone who completed all the ones I wanted I would have to say…
the mage tower should be re-open and available to anybody at a minimum/hard set ilvl with choice of legendary powers when zoning in there that were available in legion. ppl can just pick the one they want. let people earn the damn rewards there’s no point in removing them. It was challenging (some more than others) just keep it challenging and allow people to go after it.
The entire concept behind creating artificial “prestige” in the game by removing the ability to get something is dated and horrible design. Especially in an MMORPG, as it renders that developed and designed content null and void and leaves a “Oops, guess you had to be there” to know, instead of allowing players to experience the damn game. you are effectively removing content from your game to create false prestige. Nobody cares what other players’ weapons look like or mount they are on. All previous content should remain relevant in some way or another and to simply remove it is just gimping the whole design and game experience for everybody.

It was difficult at the start because the DPS requirement for Prot Paladin was higher than every other tank. But it got brought down in line with the rest of them and it got super easy from there.
Business strategy would have to disagree with you.
The argument to just give everyone the skins, or to re-open the mage tower after 4 - 6 years is also quite silly.

Solution just make a new mage tower like thing, with new skins. For everyone right now to have the chance to get. Forget about the old ones.

yes, you are correct. the guy I was responding to though was pointing to tier sets as his example.
challenge mode sets were indeed exclusive, but imo the mogs available in challenge modes are different from the typical gear sets the guy was referring to.
Life also goes on after you log out of the video game. I don’t understand why folks are so adamant about “exclusive” content.
They can go back on their word, they’ve done it plenty of times. The form should be a sense of achievement for yourself, but just because others can obtain it doesn’t take away from your sense of achievement.
Do you see others accomplish things and then suddenly thing less about your own accomplishments? That comes off as a bit insecure. Be proud of your accomplishments and stop caring about others.
Like seriously, some folks go to college at the age of eight because they’re super smart. Others don’t finish college until their elderly. Both of their accomplishments are not diminished by the other.
The limited time thing was a marketing tactic to deal with the pattern of end of expansion subscription numbers. We’re currently experiencing the same thing.
In the case of the druid form, they should atleast go in and recolor the form for each druid race in the game and then make it some class quest. That way you keep your unique color, but the form is accessible to all.

Yup, and while we are at it, lets close those AQ gates so we all get a shot at that one per server mount every month! Or those challenge dungeon mounts from MoP.
These are the only things we loyal customers get. You want some? Stay here through the good and bad for the next exclusive item, and earn it. That’s the reason Blizzard likely wont cave on this one.
In reality, I couldn’t care less. I have the glowing kitty skins, but never use them, prefer the solid black for some reason. I do use the glowing white bear, its easier for you to see the tank that way.

I feel there’s a fairly large difference between going back on their word and how Blizzard tackles Exclusivity.
If you think or look back, Blizzards track record of keeping things exclusive is, until fairly recently, pretty solid.
Exclusive things, stay exclusive.
Want to know why? Cause that gets more players to understand that, when they say exclusive they mean exclusive. Not exclusive right now, but it’ll be back in 4 years.
Thus if you want it, you better do it or buy the thing now.
Thus getting them more money.

They haven’t gone back on their word in regard to things advertised as time limited like AOTC and Cutting Edge as well as Challenge Mode gear. If they ever did that would prevent them from ever using that concept again to keep people subbed.

They shouldn’t bring back things that were exclusive unless they bringing everything back. Maybe you want mage tower appearances but I don’t need those since I did them, I would want the Champion of the Naaru title I didn’t play back then but I think it would be a great title for my Draenei.

They’re nowhere near the same subscriber numbers as Legion. So they’d get more money if they did it. They’d get even more money if they tied it to torghast, because then boosters would take people through and those are more wow token sales.
Super cool exclusive mount there.
Blizzard said that was going away and… they added more moose mounts.

There’s also a dozen other Artifact skins that are still available like Balance of Power and the Hidden ones.
I think it’s just the fact that the Mage Tower versions are gone which makes people want them more.
