Just Let Everyone Get The Mage Tower Appearances

Seriously? This is your excuse for new players or returning players not to have something? No wonder WoW is considered a game with the most toxic community. And the fact that ESO and FF is growing explains allot. People are open to new players. They don’t enjoy seeing new players being punished like wow community does

I think spell effect changes like that should stay because it’s the only one of its kind. Now, if Blizzard had more challenge modes for more of those and consistently, the green fire should have stayed exclusive to MoP.

Side note: I don’t have green fire, but I would have pushed myself had I been told it was exclusive.

Toxic for having an opinion, stay classy!

And FF14 has plenty of time sensitive rewards. Granted, some end up on the store afterwards, but it isn’t like my opinion is one relegated to WoW.

By the way, I’d say the person who says people can’t have opinions is the toxic individual. I respect the desire for good items and wanting something not in the game anymore; there are plenty of things I’ve missed in WoW. But I advocate for higher quality rewards that everyone playing now can get, not old rewards to be brought back. I’m so sorry my opinion goes against yours, but that doesn’t make me toxic, it just means I have a different opinion. Which according to you is bad.

My opinion is to welcome new players or returning players , and not punish them for absence. Your opinion is simply opposite of that. While yes it’s your opinion and you have complete right to have a different opinion, that type of opinion as what classifies WoW player base as most toxic.

People are classified based on what opinions they have and how they think. For example people are racists because they have their own opinion on race, enrich etc. and in general it makes them toxic and sometimes dangerous. They have the right to have opinion and no one can take it , but they are branded with their opinion.

In this case your opinion is to basically keep punishing players for skipping or new players for not starting in that time. It makes your toxic. And you have full right to be toxic with your opinion.

Kanrethad felt like a challenge to me. It was trivialized by gear in later patches is when I think the questline should have made unavailable (I think they made the title unavailable). I defeated him in a very last pull before on my very last Curse Potion that was expensive for reasons I don’t recall. It’s a timeless tale that I share personally with others that far outweighs MT appearance.

I kind of wish that Green Fire was indeed exclusive for special reasons and the spell effect changes is exactly that for Werebear Druid Form.

I just don’t find it fair for me that Green Fire wasn’t an exclusive but something like MT is. Apocalypse MT appearance looks like a beautiful runeblade that I’ll never get thanks to real life reasons, which is why I personally think making things exclusives in a video game is kind of silly and feels exploitive to a player’s time.

While I’m happy that Green Fire is accessible for many Warlocks that will remember the legacy of the Black Harvest, I kind of wish that same thing can be said for MT as I did it on my Priest but never truly accomplished it as Legion was an expansion for me when I was most alone.

No.

Seriously.

This is the issue. You see missing out on something as a punishment. People aren’t being punished for not playing, others are being rewarded for being there at the time. These are not mutually exclusive.

Wait, so…are we really walking down the path of comparing my opinion to racism? Is this really how we’re going to judge my opinion on the spectrum of toxicity, that i should be branded in a way that’s apparently equatable to this?

Right, no, feel free to call me toxic but I’m not going down this path of comparing my opinion in a video game to that of racism. I don’t think that needed to be brought up at all, regardless of if you were making a point, because it comes off as equating the two.

Whatever your opinion of me is, you see it differently. And you don’t get to say people can have their own opinions and then turn around an insult them; that just says you don’t think they should have opinions to begin with, especially in regards to a game and not real life.

Yeah, upon more thinking on it, I agree it should have been exclusive. And I apologize if my earlier response came off as dismissive.

You’re right, it should have been. I’m a proponent of the exclusive rewards in game because I think it actually adds that sense of challenge that gets lost when new expansions or levels come out. I think so long as they aren’t big, they aren’t a bad thing. Little cosmetics to show that you were there during the expansion are rewards for those players, not punishment for those who missed out. And that’s my view on it, regardless of how apparently toxic I am.

I’m ambivalent. Then again I hated that tower. Glad it’s gone.

Yes it is. /thread

I don’t think you are toxic as Allyan says you are.

We are just… different. I’m used to being an outcast for being very different from other people.

I don’t mind sharing stuff like exclusives and make other people happy. If it cheapens my accomplishment, so be it.

I’m all for MT to be accessible to players to the extent as they made Green Fire accessible to warlocks. But I don’t think that’s a fair statement for some people and I can understand that. I’d be asking too much.

I am in favor of this change

yea in another thread this guy compared someone who simply requested an alternate dance for her NE to a feminist and basically told her that “girls like her” should sit down and shut up.

I think you are the most “toxic” person in this thread, so.

Differences are good, so long as we can discuss them in a reasonable manner. For me personally, I missed out on the WoD weapons and a lot of the MoP armor, so I chose to use that as motivation to not miss other exclusive items. But I also understand missing out on something that you wanted; that’s the Swift Zulian Tiger for me. And I know it’s on the BMAH but the odds of me actually getting that are slim to none, so it’s as good as gone. And that for sure is sad, and I wouldn’t mind the chance to get it again.

I digress, thank you for the discussion. I still stand by my opinion but I can appreciate the other side as well. Honestly the biggest issue is that Blizzard hasn’t given us weapons or appearances of equatable quality as those in the Mage Tower; their armor and weapon game has been bad for the last two expansions. They really need to realize how important visuals are for gear to people and bring back that quality, and diversity because my GOSH am I over Maw stuff right now.

Saw that thread but not his response. Good to know on that one, but man did that put a damper on my day. :upside_down_face:

You seem to be laboring under the delusion that MT appearances offer a power gain. Good news! They’re purely cosmetic, you don’t need to worry about new players being punished, as they’ll be on a completely level playing field with people who have the skins!

Sure. Only if I can get Scarab Lord mount since I didn’t play in Vanilla.

That can be said about many things.

Perhaps I am one of very few players who wants exclusives to be not exclusives for a sound reason. x]

But it seems like you have also wants that you’ll never get also so I suppose it’s all fair game.

Well, yes actually. That is the reality of the situation.

Life goes on.

100% this.

I worked my casual butt off to get the bear form because it wasn’t coming back.

I don’t think it should have been limited time. I don’t think that future druid forms (or anything) should be limited time. But I do think that if something was advertised as limited time, it should remain that way.
