Ok, lemme ask this. Do you ride the tree mount, or is it not special because everyone has it?
I personally ride the mount that fits my current mog set/character look
Which is why theyâre valuable and prestigious, yes. They were exclusive. Astilsa is completely 100% correct in her logic.
They wouldnât be so cool and wanted if they were common for everyone.
Exactly, and itâs part of the appeal of getting said items. Like it or not, thatâs part of the WoW culture. Sitting in your mythic gear on your vicious rare mount - enjoying that accomplishment that you earned. Itâs not a participation trophy handed out because you press the ON button on your computer.
Nope and it has nothing to do with it not being âspecialâ. It has to do with it not matching my current Transmog. I try to color coordinate what I mog and what I ride. When I get the full Heroic set from Sanctum Iâll be riding the Gold version of the Hand mount. If Blizz ever adds a Green set you can bet Iâll use the tree cause it has awesome animations!
I donât think folks are arguing they should be handed out like vendor items, though. Theyâre arguing that players should have access to the challenge that rewards them again.
Well that might be true for you, but for most people Iâve spoken with, itâs not valuable because everyone has it. Nobody wants something that everyone has. If everyone had the appearances, they wouldnât be cool, itâd be run of the mill.
Do you realize you are in the EXTREME minority? And that a vast majority of players wouldnât care if they were re-added?
Iâm gonna take the doggo to the park.
Mage Tower should return and be properly scaled for a modern challenge. Same rewards.
Simple as.
Surely you have data charts to display to me that Iâm in the vast minority?
and thatâs cool and all, but like Iâve said, more than once, I could care less about the items.
My problem is the actual playable content is removed with it, and in every instance that Iâm, personally, familiar with that makes it imposible to âwrap upâ the story lines of entire expacs yourself resulting in you having to pull it up on a wiki or some crap to see it.
Then weâll bring back PvP elite sets.
Then removed items like the Corrupted Ashbringer, AteishâŚ
lmao.
You canât flip that! I just flipped it first!
Their weight in gold was exclusivity. Blizz was quite transparent about it. As stated earlier, they run on a FOMO psychology. Some of the challenges were a straight up a joke day 1. Some were difficult and took some gear before doing it. By the end of xpac anybody could run them at any moment while overgeared. By that point it WILL be handed out like vendor items and its value thrown down.
Not an argument and not one you have a source one for anyways.
Iâd love to see where you get your statistical numbers from. Just because some people on the forums cry the loudest doesnât make them the majority in anything.
Plus can I have the Black Qiraji Battle Tank, oh and those lovely TBC pvp mounts, I wasnt playing then but I think I should be able to have them.
Puts another coin the Sarcasm Jar, bad me.
Yeah man, Iâm gonna earn me some of those season 1-3 glad mounts.
/sarcasm
I sympathize with your position and if youâre invested in the story, and worked along it, you really kind of want to enjoy the ending organically.
Youâre absolutely correct, though you sound like a 3 year old while doing it. Donât stomp to your room, just acknowledge that there are other opinions and that being exclusive creates value.
Yup.
Donât get me wrong, Iâm always happy for more options for styling with, but like, at this point Iâve enough options available I can work around things. My big problem is the lack of closure in alot of cases, like, I ADORE mop, I really do, 10/10 my fave expac, hands down and bar none.
Also liked WoD alot, but was disapointed as originally the garisons were supposed to be racial feel, not faction feel so it was a bit of a let down imo, but I do hope that they stop with the horde vs aliance hard lock with how things have gone in the story, and instead treat pvp as a âmercenary factionâ type thing where race isnât important to which team you are on in pvp
-edit-
Hell, Iâm still salt about the fact that in SL the Night Fae pole arm is that blue crabclaw on a stick and NOT the nice, clean, vine sling equiped spear that the centaur-satyr-things use, yanno?
