I’m not even asking that MOST items are unobtainable. I’m just asking for some prestige items for those that were here. I didn’t get that MW staff and I regret it. Would I like it? Sure. Did I earn it when it was available? No, I didn’t.
None of the friends I’ve gotten into wow stay because they have to race to max level and are locked behind walls to reach the current content to enjoy the rest. Not because of appearances.
I wonder the same thing. IMO the Neon Bear is way cooler than the Bro Bear.

But one’s opinion is subjective. Someone may really love gorilla bear form. Heck, that’s an entire form they don’t have access to.
Why do I feel like Balance of Power is more prestigious a feat despite it still being available? You could cheese many of the challenges before the end of Legion simply from gear. Balance of Power, however, takes time and dedication.

I agree with you - a lot of those appearances were nicer than the mage tower ones. I even use those the odd time.

They were exclusive because the didn’t want to lose your sub. They don’t care if you got the items they wanted to give people a carrot on a stick to not jump ship during a content drought.
It’s going to be interesting when New World steps into the ring. Blizzard is going to face real competition for their game and is already losing subs to FFXIV.
Why do you think they’re giving people high elves? They spent years telling people no. Absolutely not. Yet next patch I get to be a blond blue eyed elf on the alliance.
They’re starting to listen to people’s feedback. Ion even said on Twitter they’re looking at the faction divine. They’re in panic mode. You think 36 “exclusive” appearances aren’t on the table?
From what I can see, the only skin from the MT that people want it returned for is the druid bear.
So rather than bringing back old content why not simply provide the skin now? They are giving druids new travel forms, give them a similar look from the MT as well.
If they did that, would anyone even want the MT made available again? The rest of the stuff isn’t all that spectacular from what I recall.

Eh. People use humor to lessen tragedy and cope with it. And seeing as about half the people on the planet are expected to have cancer at least once in their lifetime most people joking about it have encountered someone close to them with it or have/had it themselves. It isn’t really meant to offend anyone.

If we had access to all the diamonds under the crust of the earth, they wouldn’t be valuable. They are valuable BECAUSE they are exclusive. Hardened carbon isn’t a big deal in reality.

No one cares about the challenge, we’ll maybe some folks do. Most just want that model. Heck not even the same colors. Just the model, but nope, can’t have it.

Honestly I get when people bring up FFXIV, Pantheon, LOL MMO and Ashes… New World is even more predatory on your wallet than Blizzard. I don’t really see them as that big a deal…
I thought diamonds were exclusive due to monopolies in the trade to keep supply down?

One person’s interests are another person’s disinterests. People can be happy wherever they find it, and no one deserves to be bad mouthed for it.
This whole thread is arguing opinions and has dissolved into bashing as a result.
a festering cancer - to describe removal of MT appearances is, in my view, a bit over the top. That’s just my take.
They are, and that exclusivity is why we deem them “Valuable.” If they were everywhere, they would be shiny paperweights.

We can still get diamonds, though. They’re just difficult to obtain.
They are valuable because they are a challenge to get, not because they don’t exist anymore.
