Your character got the Molten Core achievement this year. You weren’t raiding during the time Molten Core was relevant, but your still able to go earn Thunderfury.

I wasn’t. I wasn’t also raiding when plagued proto drake was active either. I don’t have it. I don’t “need” it. I didn’t have gold for the brutosaur. I don’t “need” it. Would I be okay with similar alternatives? Sure.

As a simplified version of my suggestion above:
Blizzard can make the mount/appearance appear as normal to the late earner, but to everyone else viewing the late earner, their appearance is a generic grey.
The player just wanted the appearance and they’ll have that for themselves; they shouldn’t care if others see something different.
1 example off the top of my head. They said they’d never add another spider mount to the game. I bought the 2m one from Legion when it was current content. Years later they added a new spider mount from PvP. They devalued my purchase.

If people are able to do a new scenario designed for the current game in mind with new alternative colors and new skins, sure.
The vast majority of owners got the MT appearances right before prepatch went live.
It’s like me clearing Twisting Corridors for mount with 275ilvl in 9.3.5 and flexing that I cleared “challenge” outgearing it by 70 ilvl. Damn im cool.

Allow players to have the same skins, but different variants. Sure. I’m FOR it.
If you want to re-experience getting it? You should ask.
No one here is asking skins for free. Just how someone else worked to get them, so will we.

There are a plethora of time-sensitive achievements - you want them all to be thrown out or just the MT ones? It’s so unbelievably unfair to players that earned it when it was relevant.

I don’t feel that entitled to something I didn’t earn when it was active, so no.
You can earn two VARIANTS of the argent charger. That’s fine.

You can try and say it wasn’t hard or people didn’t really earn it because it was easy or whatever spin, but it makes no difference. It was a time-sensitive challenge. I paid for Legion, I paid for a subscription, I worked on the achievement and got it BACK THEN. Did you? Where were you?

People can like limited time events/titles/items/etc without it being about “e-flexing” or what ever pejorative you want to create. Stop trying to “win” the argument by putting everyone who disagrees with you in some sort of box of shame.

Yes. Absolutely. Give players a chance to EARN a VARIANT of the original skins, but not the exact same things. This isn’t a factor of racial skin colors/hair colors. These are player achievements.
