Just hire stoopz as a pvp consultant

im going off of retail, 2400 is where pvp gear caps out in ilvl and even 2.1 is unobtainable for most of the community first week do u know how inflation works?

Oh I know and best trinkets, I couldnt get the blade dance trinket from HFC when I finally stopped procrastinating and tried to go for the challenge. So no one would invite lol

And currently, unofficially*, their stance is 1800 will be between heroic and mythic ilvl and 1600 is heroic with 1400 at 210.

*meaning in an interview

Kind of like this one

Made plenty of gold carrying plenty of people in 2s to it.

Yes I am quite familiar

ok we’ll see when SL launches, my hopes are at 0 for pvp gear, have been since m+ SL wont be any different

How is each dungeon having only 1 piece that is repeatable from the end of the run the same?

The problem was their pve ilvl was too high. Simply make their pve ilvl lower. Which is exactly what I did…

Not sure what the complaint is.

I rather not, I actually much prefer the model and won’t bother explaining why because you are so obstinate you will just dismiss it out of hand, so why waste the time?

How was this a massive problem in PvE out of curiosity

How did late Mop gearing impact PvE negatively

How did Cata PvP gear impact PvE negatively (the other way around of course existed)

I mean it just seems like these solutions were far better than what we have now lol. From Blizzards end I believe one argument was “we don’t want players to have two different gearsets” but that will happen no matter what. My PvE and PvP gear were entirely seperate last xpac, they were seperate on classic (similar time where there was no resil), and it always will be different. Priorities in PvE and PvP are simply different gear wise.

Neither of those had ashran.
The speed of acquisition for a honor set in ashran was pretty high and the best time investment for your starting raid gear.
Pve did not have as good of a catch up to current content.

Like these aren’t my words, these are blizzards from interviews and notes going into legion. So not sure why you are attacking me about it.

I much rather a WoD model for gear, can go back in bfa earlier forums and see it was my most advocated topic before slands development was even announced.
I’m just someone who knows how to accept reality and try to at least understand the design philosophy.

Yes, but the whole purpose to make gear is gear, is so that we have the maximum pool of participants possible.
Like if I could wear 1 set of gear and it’s good enough for all content and I am not having multiple sets for something, this would be perfect for me.
It’s the only thing I liked about 8.3, my bis pve set and my bis pvp set were literally the same thing.

So if they can really bring within that margin of a player playing both sides only having a “5%” advantage then I will be fine with that. Because I when it comes to this game good enough has always been fine, I don’t need to break pve records and “can I reliably kill this player?” Then that’s it, you been playing long enough and at high experience to know skill could overcome gear disadvantage in the no scalin eras.

I take back the Abom thing, this is more like Bloomsday posting now.

You literally won’t be using the EXACT same gear in PvP and PvE because versa is trash in PvE. This “you shouldn’t need multiple gear sets” thing doesn’t make any sense - especially when they’re FORCING versa onto PvP gear now and trying ot make it a pseudo pvp stat.

Did they change their mind? Half change their mind?

Try not being a condescending POS in the future to other people who will deal with you(I no longer will).

you should know that that’s a state of affairs blizzard dislikes and the stat DR implemented on beta is most likely targeted at that specifically. they want everybody to like every stat at least somewhat

for example, my raid gear uses versa in every socket right now

yeah I am condensing, the person who hasn’t made a single insult.
That’s me, I have already said what would have been explained in that post ad nauseum because tons of posters want to not bother reading development notes or interviews and make your own opinions of it
Instead a lot of the forums will just regurgitate cherry picked information that ends up echo chambered and anyone who tries to disrupt that (because forums becoming echo chambers is never a good thing)

Hell I been sitting on this one hoping someone would mention it and not a single person did, instead just been complaining.

However, with that said I am not here to get people to like me or make friends, I am here to entertain myself while I work to keep my mind loose to catch details incase I miss and potentially cause a few thousand dollar mistake.
What’s funny is I have invited people on these vary forums to come do dungeons or bgs or arenas or carry them to their elite set for free cause, because I have always been an all or welcome kind of person.
It’s always how you keep people in the community and battle toxicity.

But ultimately if you don’t like me you don’t like me and I personally couldn’t actually care any less.

Battlegrounds used to be my favorite part of the game :frowning: now there is no point to them. I am heartbroken that you still haven’t listened to the smart people who love your game and want to help it be the best it can possibly be. Please reconsider your approach to gearing in pvp. (Gear scaling in pvp, bring it back)

Maybe you forgot that the PVP gear was boosted by 30 ilvl in PVP? And mythic Raid gear was downgraded in PVP?

WoD was not “gear is gear”

That’s almost an impossible goal that’s setting themselves up to fail PvPers, your priorities will always be different in both environments because PvE is never just about maxamizing dps which is everyones point

It’s definitely fair to say they’re just making unecessary problems for themselves.

Also yeah I mean you can quote like the Ashran comments and say the gearing was too fast or something but like… literally doesn’t impact PvE players lol. Any of these changes only effects one part of the community, and it impacts them negatively while the other side doesn’t really notice either way.

Idk why you took what I said personally though, it was just a general response towards those arguments from Blizzard. Quite frankly it isn’t very well thought out.

There’s no better time to give feedback anyways.

I didn’t forget nothing, still was gear for gear in both ashran and wpvp, but you are letting nostalgia blind you to launch honor gear sucked, it was below mythic dungeon (with being in engaged in pvp) which was normal raid, conquest was 660 and equal to heroic and activated it was 690 mythic lvl.

I mean people said the same thing when they first went with the philosophy of no more stats.
Like I said the last thing to make this system almost perfect would be to add another effect to the pvp set bonus

Gladiator’s Spirit- while this effect is active take X% less dmg when damaged by any pvp source without this buff active.

With that and if they follow through with trinkets and actually reduced them down in a worthwhile fashion, then you would just need to quickly farm for your trinket(s) and then just jump in, instead of them refarming.

You and I can say whatever we want, but again these aren’t my words

Yes, but constructive can you honestly say even a 10th is that? Or even attempts to be?

Like boosting the iLVL of all PVP gear by 30 when in PVP/warmode.

Great idea!

Edit: and make gearing up in PVP faster, because it would no longer compete with PVE gear.
