Consider implementing an escalation method with a mild initial consequence. This way, individuals who are inadvertently affected won’t face severe punishment. Those who consistently exhibit bad behavior will still face significant consequences, but the initial penalties will be less harsh. I believe this approach is more balanced and fair in the long run.
you can bet a weeks paycheck that THAT one IS the bogus vote kicker in here.
they defend it and dont want reform BECAUSE they KNOW they enjoy abusing other players with the vote kick
Does that matter with personal loot?
Logically I don’t see the issue with the escalation method. It still serves the same purpose, except now it helps protect those leaving dungeons in good faith, as well as the innocent who get kicked for no reason. Maybe they can logically refute it.
lol…we had THREE Beastmasters including myself in one run.
It was such a blast that the tank literally said he was enjoying ‘this group’ and we signed up for like three more runs after that one.
If hunters will learn to keep their pets on a leash and not use Barrage like idiots, its a great way to easily mow down dungeons really quick, lol
Lol you’re such a joke of a person it’s unreal.
AND THERE YA HAVE IT FOLKS…THE INFANTILE INSULTS BEGIN
We have a winner Johnny…tell Fred what hes won today.
Today we have a big, shiny new IGNORE for Fred!
come get your prize Freddy!
You literally started it by patronizingly calling me “son,” so stop acting like you’re the adult here
I am just saying there are more than one reason to kick a hunter. You have to understand that hunters were the black sheep out of all the classes.
Welp, it didn’t take long for Lio to unravel. RIP this thread.
If we are talking escalation, I don’t think someone should have escalated protection but rather escalating punishment if they are a repeat offender and are kicked from groups as often as some people here are.
I’m pretty sure there is, or was, a cooldown for people who initiate kicks, I also think people who kick too much should be looked at but that’s just me.
My own anecdotal experience is that I never really see kicks happening very often and when I do, they are typically justified. For someone like me, escalating punishments or cooldowns on kicks would barely be noticeable.
Sometimes it happens. Someone is joking around with a friend and is like lol this guy is wearing a stupid tabard. Initiates kick vote as a joke and everyone else hits accept because they literally dont care.
I think so. Maybe its residuals from a bygone era.
I remember back in the day they got a bad reputation for needing on everything, because they could use a bunch of weapon types, not dismissing their pets, and nit turning off growl.
oh yeah…I started WoW mid 2017 and even that late in the game hunters were definitely something being shunned a lot.
though knowing what I know now, I honestly think its that hunter players…MANY of them…have no clue how to keep their pets maintained.

that macro at the end of EVERY combat pretty much ended my seeing my pets run off after a fight pulling crap i never even targeted.
Right now the only trouble I see is with the one BM talent that calls Hati or Fenryr up for a short spell.
For some reason they dont obey the macro a lot of time and they’ll go drag in half a dungeon when you aint looking before they fade out lol
There’s no reason needed to kick you as long as everyone votes yes. Sometimes if we have a really terrible player I’ll vote kick a good player instead of the healer/tank if it’s a bad DPS player and put the reason as something like zero DPS or trolling and everyone votes yes without even reading who is getting kicked.
I myself have been kicked before just for being a tauren, at the end of the day it doesn’t really matter because it’s not a big deal. Maybe it’s slightly more annoying now if you get a deserter buff for being kicked but idk because I’ve not been kicked myself in years now.
You’re right, most players including myself didn’t know to play a hunter. Which was a very terrible dark time in WoW’s history.
I don’t run groups anymore so Idk what the loot system is like now.
Is personal loot still a thing?
I’ve never seen anything like that back when I did run groups for dg’s, etc… but if I had, I’d have dropped group so fast.
They have to have a good reason. Has to be valid, not just some dumb thing like that.
If more of the playerbase insisted upon a valid reason for a kick, then there’d be less casualties.
were macros a thing way back in classic?
I starting to believe that being kicked isn’t the main issue, but the deserter debuff is the main problem. 15min instead of 30min debuff.
