I’d rather you were disgusted that this absurd rating system exists and that it locks us out of the next layer instead of congratulate me for wasting an extra hour of my life unlocking layer 11 when I had already easily completed a layer 10 at least 3 times.
You missed the trap one…anyone can and should get the trap points.
You didn’t kill elites within 10 seconds of each other…also real easy to do.
You didn’t list any enpowerment bonus…you should be using that in an area with really weak trash or lots of jars and not saving them for elites/bosses.
I don’t see why you didn’t get pillager, plunderer, savior, or rescuer (unless you just aren’t saying) since those are essentially freebies.
i got hit by a single trap because I was literally like 1 pixel too close to the stupid zooming ball because I was hitting some vases in the corner I just saw.
everything about the rating system just sucks so much. It makes the entire experience so much worse than it already was.
You’re stressed about time you’re stressed about not hitting 100% on every floor you even get stressed by just getting hit a single time by a trap now.
Nothing about this rating system is enjoyable it’s just a universal failure and they have no good reason to lock the next layer behind a 4 or 5 star rating it’s so stupid.
I never stress about what I’m doing in there and don’t have any problems, but I will say the box powers make it progressively easier. Buy the blessing / torment power ups first IMO, it helps.
I don’t sweat the rating too much. The jump in recommended ilevel between the higher floors is pretty large and the number of torments go up, so if you can’t 4 star the previous floor, you’re probably going to have a bad time on the next one.
I got clipped by a trap too in my 11 coldheart and cost me and my friend our 5 star (we were 3 or 5 points shy and he had no mistakes on his end)…sucks but no big deal overall.
Again, I’m telling you and you can take it or leave it…quit focusing on time. Turbo rushing is exactly how you screw up and make mistakes that cost you FAR more in bonus points than you gain in time bonus. Nailing down as many bonus points and getting a somewhat decent enpowerment bonus (which I explained above) WILL carry you to 4 and even 5 stars…I guarantee and promise it because “I” do that.
From the moment I zone in, me and my friend coordinate to make sure either on making sure elites dont reach 5 stacks or we go for the easier 2 die within 10 seconds…not both. We build up empowerment and then round up trash and save jars and then go nuts spreading out earning as much as we can while it is up. We talk/communicate if either of us can reach the 5 stacks of a stat buff and if CD’s or whatnot is up to know to pull bigger or not.
And I’ve ran solo on my lesser geared alts (200ish ilvl range) and STILL 4 star them easily. Never ever do I actually shoot for par times…I look at it when I am moving up a floor to see how much I was off but it doesn’t deter me in the least close or off of it I was. Timer points are almost trap points in that trying to get them risks you skipping or missing other larger sources.
It exists but it largely ignorable. If my alts at a 200ish ilvl can clear 10’s (haven’t done 11’s on them this week) and can still get 20ish points from time just going at a normal pace and STILL 4 star, then the timer is not a factor one has to obsess over.
If people already have their mind made up…then so be it. No skin off my nose if they want to keep smashing their heads against the brick wall trying to knock it down when they could just do what I said and walk around it.
It’s almost like their design goals are to come up with a good idea, then proceed to crap all over it until it’s complete garbage. I don’t think the designers even actually play the game.
While I’m not a fan of the timer it really doesn’t mean much. I had a run with only 13 from time and still almost 5 it. If I wanted to push I could have but I chose to just do a chill run to see what it would do.
If you can’t put in even a little focus then you probably don’t deserve to 4 or 5 star it.
Having not been in TG for months, I’m curious to see if the new version, which sounds worse than the one I already hated, kills the rest of this expansion for me.
