There are some people that think giving high elves to the alliance would somehow balance the population between the factions, which is just wrong. The people who left the alliance to go horde left because they are more concerned with what they can gain for raiding not what their race looks like.
well people ask, they get answers. if i recall the forum polls followed this somewhat for top 2:
horde
ogre
san’layn
alliance
high elves
vrykul
and its been consistently the same ever since. the horde still want ogres and san’layn and alliance still want high elves and vrykul.
is transmog a success?
Racials clearly mean something since I keep hearing people pissing and moaning about how good horde has it on a regular basis WRT them.
In every horde bias thread I’ve ever been a part of, it’s about the races themselves, mounts, story focus, things like that. I’m sure some people still complain about racials but with most raiders going horde, it’s not as much of a problem anymore.
Helferdisc regularly advertises in threads, to get into the antidisc you just need to ask one of the regular anti posters and they’ll make an invite for you.
A lot of the same people that dont want High Elves, dont want san’layn either as a separate racial addition.
Also vrykul make no sense to be Alliance from a lore or cultural perspective either.
and oddly enough, several who dont want alliance to have high elves because no more elves, are just fine with horde getting san’layn. haha. i even caught one of the regular antis doing just that. while in helf threads, saying we dont need more elves. while in san’layn threads, being fully supportive. apparently, he didnt think san’layn were elves because they’re vampires, but they use the belf and sometimes male nelf, models.
i dont see why they shouldnt get them. its an rpg afterall.
No, thats not the situation. Most people would rather it be CUSTOMIZATION for blood elves since its essentially just a void elf redux change for the Horde.
People who say “no more elves” that are Horde, usually dont like the blood elves in general.
Thats just being hypocrite, and you know what to do with those.
But the topic of Sanlayn is a different thread entirely.
Strong high elf, 1.26
Incorrect, Blood elves will stay Blood Elves, your sad belief in exclusivity doesn’t delete this just because the Alliance is able to play a race it already has.
I wouldn’t expect a dramatic WoW doomsayer, to even begin to know the odds or what Blizzard may think or wants to do, they’ve had 2 opportunities to settle this issue without hassle and they’ve chosen to not take them, please keep pretending High Elves aren’t of some importance to them
Cool, we’re done here then.
Except for I’ve continuously proven I do and antis pretending High Elves contradicts any of those things is laughable.
- Balance is already all over the place there with 12 classes and 30 odd some specs and 300+ talent combinations, perfect balance is a fever dream and not even remotely affected by adding High Elves into the Alliance.
- High elves are already a force and presence on the Alliance, how is it not logical to ask for them to be made playable? Cause you’re feelings are hurt? Lol ok.
- It is and continues to be proven by blizzard that High Elves are in the Alliance, ergo, it is canon, I’m shocked you believed otherwise, actually I’m not, seems about on point with you.
You also continuing to pretend our request is about taking Blood Elves after being told multiple times it is about our separate Alliance High Elves, also proves you have had nothing of good faith to argue and officially paints you as a troll with an agenda, a well earned ignore.
And then freaked over dark skinned options, even though that was one of the main High Elf requests, but yes let’s let antis tell us it’s about skin color
People did the same thing for the new human skin tones too, wasnt just Horde.
I’ve been saying No more elves because we already have 4, which comprises a larger chunk of player races then any other in the game and there simply isn’t enough distinction in high elves to make it worthwhile.
This video is my freaking Bible.
There is no reason to add any new races to the Alliance, or add anything to the Alliance whatsoever.
Anything that is added to the Alliance at this point will be instantly crippled by the fact that it isn’t on the Horde, where most of the established raiding community is.
The best way to fix this is to simply remove the factions for PvE content.
The factions are nonsense in the Story, and the Horde and Alliance wind up doing the same content anyways.
Then, anyone can play any race they want, and still play with their friends, and still have access to the entire raiding community. And from that point forward, any race that gets added to the game is equally accessible to everyone.
Problem solved. 0 broken hearts, 0 broken guilds, 0 faction changes required. EZPZ.
I’m glad we’re able to agree on something.
Honestly, the solution to race imbalance imho is to do more neutral races, particularly since the writing is veering away from faction conflict barring something really stupid on the part of Talanji, Tyrande and/or Greymane; no one can complain if both factions are getting the same thing.
Which im not counterpointing. I am saying people who usually say “no more elves” generally want no more elves.
