This has nothing to do with the people who seem to really believe that the devs have a bias against alliance players. Those ideas aren’t based on reality or reason and have no place in logical discussions, imo.

I love when people bring up the bias arguement when talking about Vulpera since it shows how stunningly bankrupt their argument is.
For years alliance players have bawled about how OP horde racials were, how it was clear evidence of bias ™ on the part of Bliz, and despite the alliances first handful of allied races getting respectable racials, the arguement was always there.
Then it was announced that in 8.3 Vulpera and Mechagnomes would be added to the game and it was extremely clear to anyone who looked at top end performance that the Mechagnomes were head and shoulders better for end game content owing to their potent racials wheras the vulpera were mostly benefiting from Quality of life features.
And almost immediately the Alliance started screeching like Bliz was deleting their manes or such, because suddenly racials didn’t matter, it was all about Aesthetics! Who cares that the vulpera underperform other races by a couple thousand dps due to the absence of a stat buff and how insignifigant 1% fire resistance was, it’s a travesty that the alliance should have a second gnome that doesn’t have as many mog options!
Frankly, it’s led me to conclude that it’s impossible to actually please more then 40% of the alliance at any given time.

Nope, I acknowledged Suramar… being their only significant appearance since the Throne of Thunder, so in 6 years. An appearance with the Blood Elves in end game content which most people who didn’t do it at the time wont do while leveling. Something that if someone joins the game now, they’d have to go looking for.
I wouldn’t have read everything that went on last night either.
well my gosh i hope they give ya better racials then! see the bulk of this problem started back in legion, when 2 different m+ fights were cheesed by goblin rocket jump and belf arcane torrent. alliance m+ guilds left the alliance in droves because they were high end competitors. this caused their copy cats to follow. this caused their friends to follow. soon alliance raiding and m+ guilds, were gutted.
and in the midst of all this, allied races are announced, devs ask what we want and to give the answers on these forums. alliance overwhelmingly ask for high elves. horde overwhelmingly ask for ogres. neither happened. but the problem came when ion told the playerbase - no high elves for alliance - go play horde if you want high elves. apparently, people did as now, blood elves out number all other races in the game. lol

Speaking only towards the pro discord link is in the positivity thread, the other I was in and left for valid reasons so I can’t speak towards getting in that one. But I’m sure someone from it would offer you an invite.
As for the pro discord, it’s open even if you are an anti so long as you don’t come in to troll of course. In fact assuming you are more Pro BE like I am (I also support the HE request for valid reasons of believing it adds to faction rivalry) it’d be nice to have more Blood Elf fans there. I’m always sticking up for Blood Elves and the Horde in there but it’s overall a great community even for those who prefer Blood Elves just make sure to check out the rules and remember to be respectful of course, we stick up for all our members regardless if they support High Elves or not.

It wouldn’t surprise me if they gave the diaper gnomes such good racials to make up for the fact that they’re ugly as sin and nobody wanted them.

ah but it is. i said on the forums. well it wasnt just horde players voting for ogres and it wasnt just alliance players voting for high elves, as there is overlap from people who play both

Thing is, the alliance got pretty good racials on all the BFA races as far as I can tell, while the Maghar are kind of meh and the vulpera feel like the kind of thing you level with and then shift out of if you’re not planning on being a mat farmer.

Fun is about the only thing that fan made polls have going for them. None of them are of use.

so it isnt that you question that players voted overwhelmingly for any particular race, its that you dont trust the polls. why not say that instead of saying it isnt true that the polls were overwhelmingly high elf for alliance and i couldnt prove it. there’s just one example. i could probably dig up many more from the wayback machine.
Would rather development resources not be wasted on copying the same race for a third time.

Racials don’t really mean anything to the majority of alliance players though, especially now that the high end raiders have all fled for the horde.

I was going by what postings I saw written here when you stated,
I wasn’t even thinking of any polls that might have been done.
Even if you could tally polls made in the past it’s not an accurate assessment when people can vote in more than one poll if they want. It’s just absurd to think any of the polls here are anything more than entertainment.
