They aren’t part of the horde. Alterac rebelled against the alliance and were under the control of a dragon. Try again mate
What else should Blizzard give the alliance?
Total victory was not enough?
Being righteous and always right isn’t enough?
Having their kings drop speeches in the middle of orgrimar every other expansion is not enough?
Having the entire horde as their puppet is not enough?
How about having their leaders never doing wrong? That’s not enough too?
You get free bonuses and buffs, not good enough?
You got void elves, same looks as a blood elf, a race Blizzard made just for your demands and squeezed them in the lore, not good?
And now you want the blood elves (which are the high elves) to join the alliance?
What’s next, you would ask for hairless Taurean and pink trolls?
The alliance doesn’t even know what it wants. Stop asking Blizzard for every single thing you see.
So you do agree with Ion that Blood Elves with blue eyes do not make sense?
Well written stories. And you should get them, too.
Total victory was not enough
total victory in writing, not in game. in the actual game, there werent even enough alliance guilds to do the hall of fame achievement. horde had already completed it, like a month earlier and alliance still hadnt cause all our top guilds went horde for m+ racials on horde, their copy catters followed. then ion told alliance players to just play horde if they wanted high elves. then the whole thing was blamed on the alliance players. haha you cant make this stuff up.
Now let’s get reasonable please.
We both know that won’t happen.
People still seem to think they don’t do some things out of spite.
The hints are all there, how out of touch can they be?
The appeal of the next expansion is character customization, do I need to say much else? If they really cared they would have just added those things in by now instead of making it an xpac feature.
Well, I can dream, can’t I? And I don’t know if you’ve played the Alliance side of things, but it’s far less rosey than you paint it. If the Horde actually were a proxy state of the Alliance now and de facto their vassal, there’d be far less complaints from us about Anduin’s flower power resolution of things. We wanted a king, what we got was a naive child.
In the end, the complaints from both sides about BFA boil down mostly to how the story was told, though. The writing was hamfisted and inefficient, and in its resolution just as naive as Anduin himself (and Horde side, his counterpart Bhaine).
lore is important, no doubt, but at the end of the day, pretending the alliance is a functional faction if they cant compete in endgame content, is gas lighting at best. they’ve started repairing some aspects of it though. hopefully the new human customizations will help.
i’m just trying to figure out whats to be spiteful about. they write the lore. if they dont like the alliance faction, isnt it their own fault, for writing lore for them that they dont like? Its all very confusing
They are upset at the alliance for wanting the lore to be better.
hmm horde players want better lore too. alot of them didnt like being hit with the villain bat again. some are calling for alliance to be the villains for once, which never works out well as most people prefer not to be villians. lol
True, but I think the horde might not actually care too much about that. I think what they mostly care about is the fact that they were lied to about things being in the gray when it was black or white.
There’s no real neutrality when you’re going around killing world trees and then getting retconned about it. They group the entirety of every horde race as the same exact stereotypes every expansion, and the glory always goes to the alliance as heroes. You’d think that the horde would be more involved in their internal affairs but we always see the alliance fixing things like with garrosh. It’s frustrating to players who see the horde as a bunch of valiant souls who do some bad for the good of survival but still try to fix things.
Retcon about the forsaken striving to protect the living? How about instead of every forsaken saying “death to the living” make a few that are actually good since there’s like 5 in the whole game and one is alliance.
well sylvannas isnt done yet. she’s up to something. it may be self serving but have good implications for others as well. in which case it’ll swing back to that grey area. the actual debate being is it better to kill some to save many. age old question with only grey answers. see culling of stratholme.
The culling of stratholm was really interesting, I wish we saw more stuff like that for the alliance and more valiant heroes for the horde. But it’s like they pretty much exist exclusively on the opposite. There’s cool stuff every once in a while like thrall being a hero and arthas being a villain but other than that nothing. BFA is slightly more gray in terms of population being good/bad because there’s actual variation. Not a masterpiece but better than previous.
The alliance has been asking for high elves since beta rofl. This isn’t a new thing it’s been a request for longer than the game has been live.
And you claim I’m rude rofl
If you skipped the super important giant endgame questline that gave a ton of ap and you were highly incentivized to do. Also a mount lol.
That’s nice.
yer just in our high elf thread showing off how cute ya are. that helmet on you is freakin’ adorable. omygosh. and you think just you alone arent evidence of horde bias haha. dang, thats cute.
