Just give the alliance high elves already

Good! It would diminish the game as a whole. Keep WoW weird, Keep WoW WoW, not TLotR.

Sorry, all those elves are pretty much the same other than the void flavored ones. The playable high elves are on the horde. Not sure where your headcanon elves are, but they aren’t the ones in wow.

I love mechanizes. They are my guilty pleasure.

I don’t think blood elves took the easy way at all, if anything the high elves had it much easier.

I don’t think that makes them “less deserving than” to be playable just because their lives had a different outcome.

People can like high elves for things you stated. Even if in your eyes they’re little ungrateful twerps.

Just like people can like certain forsaken for being horrible monsters, or goblins for being literal parasites lol.

We can say that about almost every allied race. I agree with your sentiment about transmogs, however just give mechagnomes more choice and they are a great race.

it’s pretty simple

The Loraedon citizens who helped the Blood elves are still their allies.

The Loraedon citizens who betrayed the Blood elves are dead by Sylvanas’ hand or are part of the Alliance now.

That’s ignoring the fact that Garrithos had Dwarves and Dalaran wizards who were also willing to exterminate the blood elf race who are both happily in the Alliance.

rofl k bud I really don’t feel like playing semantic games, so let’s just be blunt.

The blood elves do not make sense on the horde. They were added to the horde to fix the faction gap and were originally looked at both in beta and early bc dev for the alliance before the faction gap causes were analyzed. That they are on the horde now is fine. What is not fine is that the alliance lack a tolkien style elf while the horde are allowed both tolkien and dark elves.

lol what? In what world did the lord citizens who were raised as undead and destroyed the home of the blood elves somehow all magically die and only the pure undead who sat around looking at daisies were left for the forsaken.

I’m always amused when it’s presented as if there’s not commonality between the forsaken and the blood elves. As if they both aren’t survivors (kinda sorta for the forsaken) of Arthas’ rampage through the EK with the scourge.

Ehhh I’m of the mind to give blood elves some high elf customizations, along with void elves some of them as well similar to Alleria (they can still keep tentacle hair)…mostly because both sides have wayfarers from various high elf communities or travelers.

The problem is gnomes are a joke race and always have been meanwhile horde got the race half the game had been drooling over for various reasons since they were introduced. Alliance needs an actual legitimate race that people would want to play those options are basically high elves and vykrul and high elves would be more likely to have a small effect on faction balance. Or they could just allow cross faction play already but they refuse to.

Sure, but that wasn’t the argument I was making here.

Simply that they aren’t mary-sue. People are often telling us that they want Alliance High elves because they are pure, or better mannered, or didn’t make mistakes. That’s headcanon. They are as you put it,

And the horde are allowed dark and tolkien style elves why exactly?

It’s strange how only the alliance has to be weird meanwhile the so called monster faction is allowed access to both styles of elfs the most adorable race and a ton of monster races.

That’s your opinion. You just don’t like gnomes so you decide that their allied race is by default a trash race

It’s the opinion of the playerbase in general and populations bear that out.

Becasue any given fantasy world will have an Alliance of humans, dwarfs, and high elves. Putting high elves with orcs and undead puts a twist on them, in exactly the style WoW puts twists on things.

Citation needed.

But there is no twist when one faction is allowed literally everything and the other faction has vast deficits.

To be fair I don’t think it’s wrong to say most of the WoW population is less than thrilled with the implementation of mechagnomes.

But to say that nobody wanted them is absolutely a lie. People wanted them ever since Ulduar.
