If you think that is what the discord is all about, then you must have been in the discord correct? It totally could be about trolling and de-railing threads. But I somehow highly doubt that and is probably more focused on people being friends. It turns out when people agree with each other and are in the same threads everyday they might be friends right? Amazing isn’t it?
I don’t get that at all from his post. It simply is someone saying that people who don’t like you, will come to troll. And there are plenty of people who don’t like the “Anti’s” Just as there are plenty of people who don’t like the “Helfers”. Both sides are very much so rude to each other I’ll admit that. He isn’t talking about the Anti’s being “the bad guys” because the “Anti’s” would have no reason to be hostile to people they like and agree with. As for you saying that the “Anti’s” are worse than the Pro Helfer group. We can sit here all day and play the quoting others game, you’ll see a trend, both sides have a very similar amount of toxicity.

This is something I actually don’t understand, if you think that the alliance “is all generic boring races” then why do you play the alliance? It doesn’t make any sense with all the self-faction hate.
I don’t hate the Alliance, I just want more diverse options for them…and I want to keep the factions distinct. Those are words you’re putting in my mouth.

That’s not what I said though, only that they are just as bad, whether they’re worse or not? I’m not entirely sure, I don’t really like people who pretend to be better than the other group though and I sure as heck see a lot of anti’s pass themselves off as being that, instead of just owning what they do.
And yes, that guy you’re nodding your head to only thinks one side is bad as he’s shown in previous other posts.

I suggested founding it because I thought talking to each other, rather than just reacting to other posters would help our side cut back on the trolling. I also wanted to keep track of the flag bombing (targeting specific posters) to determine if there really was a group organizing it, and help us share resources.

Fixed it for you this is what you said, I took it as an insinuation that Anti’s are worse. You can deny it I guess but that’s what I initially and still took from that comment.
Helfers do the same thing, often trying to take moral high ground. An example of this is right now. “How dare they have a discord”.
Even people who dislike the otherside greatly can make good points, you are just using the stance he happens to disagree with to try and discredit him, when he made a very valid point.

Why did you bother fixing what is essentially the same statement?
Because the original point of contention was an anti saying “we are open and welcoming to everyone” which prompted that point of it being private.
I don’t personally mind a Discord being private or anything, they can do theirs of course and it’s well within their right, but a private discord isn’t an open one and Cowthlic responding to Kirela calling it private decided to make a pointed jab at us in a one-sided fashion when he could have just said “we just don’t accept pro’s, sorry.”
He can make his points known without calling us bullies and refusing looking at the skeletons in his own camp’s closet.

To avoid confusion, I was talking about Cowthlic, just bad habit on my part not saying people’s names outright unless I’m very familiar with them or know them better.
You might wanna look up a bit farther, it might have been one of the things brought up but when people are calling “Anti’s” pathetic and hurling insults for having a discord. It “Not being open” is defo not the point of contention.
You already admitted that there are people in your group that aren’t as kind as well. You can take it as an insult all you want. But you should be able to tell they aren’t talking about you if you don’t plan on going to troll the discord. And it’s even been said that it has happened before.
Is Cowlithic in our Discord? The only other person it could be is Tarrok and he sticks to one toon. I don’t think Guzzle is on right now.

Nope, I’m just very skeptical that the main focus in your discord involves mustache twirling about how you’re going to get those pesky Helfer’s like some people are claiming.
We spend a lot of time talking about Warframe and Animal Crossing. Seriously I could not have gotten pears if it wasn’t for them. We used to argue a lot about making tea in the microwave. We do share sources and tell each other to cut it out when someone is getting out of hand. We also ask for support when we are being grouped up on.
There’s a lot of people who have no idea what goes on in there making things up.

Like I thought, some people seem to think that all you people do in there is talk about high elves or something for some reason. Anything to gain the moral high ground I guess

You have uncovered our secret plans, and are not just making the same old tired attacks to demonize people that disagree with you which some people with a sense of humor might make a friendly discord around to laugh at how much power people are pretending they have so that we could be your villains.

Pretending not to care but still engaging in the discussion or acting very obviously partial to one side, aren’t we?
It depends on whether you think having an active movement and a discord simply to deny a request is silly or not, there are some I’ve seen before who are very indifferent about the subject that still find even that to be rather silly and perhaps a bit too involved than what is needed.
I myself don’t know what to make of the idea. I don’t think anyone should be insulted over any of this though from the sounds of it, the worst thing I can say is perhaps that I imagine the discussion there is probably barebones and not really so much about playable ideas in WoW as it is about denying something to be playable and I guess whatever else. So I wouldn’t consider it malicious, just boring.
I was doing that to make a point of impartiality. Since you mention being a mod, that certain mindset is absolutely important, I guess this is less about my stance as being supportive of High Elves and more because I come from a forum that once had lenient moderation rules until one specific mod came back and went on a power trip and a lot of people I knew got banned and the forum just ended up self-nuked.
I don’t know, just picking favorites like that while in a position of power, I would just say be careful of that. (Unless you’re handling a naturally biased place and not destroying one that was more open than that I guess.)
