Surprised you lasted this long considering you’ve NEVER been able to get the best gear in the game solo >.>
Also going to hate to put this here, but its pretty much raiders and casuals fault that pvp is where its at. When there was resilience, pvers cried so hard because they didn’t have the best resilience gear to beat those who actually worked for that gear. So I think it should be roundabout that pvers should be punished when it comes to pvp.
In Pandaria and WOD you were able to get PVP sets that were equal accross all rating levels. That in PVP made for a lot of fun and learning your class. I had my share of Elite armor sets and how they alone owned a Battleground just by the power of their gear and skill. But it was not fun when you had someone that purchased carry just stomp you and laugh at your miserable gear.
In PVP you need equal footing for everyone in terms of stats and balance. This way you may have player outplay and outshine other players with pure skill and wits. Then reward the good player in such a way that doesn’t hurt the system in place. By that I mean not having better gear with Rating. Because it just makes for a foul environment and sets the grounds for selling rating.
Mike Morhiem… Dreamhaven
its an MMO-rpg
But it sounds to me in this thread Pvers think they should have everything just to them because they’re sweaty people. Yeah I know about the dumb carry crap, but in its own I think Blizzard should have gone with personal rating and not team wise. But also this can be said for those who raid. They could go in with their guild get carried in a raid not having to push one button and go into a battleground and just be lucky because they had better gear than the other person. I really miss when the game was about the player and skill, and not the gear.
I know I like my massively multiplayer online role playing games to be single player experiences.
Nah, Mythic Raiders don’t tend to do to much PVP early one into the expac, they’re too focused on gearing up, giving you time to gear up through PVP all the same. You’ll be fine.
I think something that can solve the whole casual thing, pvp wise is capping IL in LFG to meet up to the most possible IL in that way of doing bgs, so the playing field always feels even both teams can still have a good time. This keeps players who stay casual from getting best gear, but also keeps lfg bgs get destroyed by people coming in from more hardcore content. To be clear, I’m not saying exclude folks with high gear, if they come in (using random numbers) 600 il from rates and highest potential is a 500 il in the casual bracket, their gear squishes to 500.
Not really, no. It is certainly more difficult than whatever happens in a heroic dungeon is though. lol
Heroic is a joke by the way. Heck, most of mythic becomes one later in the tier too but that doesn’t change the fact that 90%+ of the playerbase couldn’t complete it.
It’s better in Shadowlands. lol
No its not. Not really.
There is No PVP stat. Your not getting glad, unless your R1 or have Glad gear. Gear advantage becomes a Hard wall, so your right back to PVEing for Gear.
Unless you get over 2400 like week 1 or 2, playing against all the R1s, so again unless your R1 lol.
i agree. It gets specially hard when you try to gear an alt mid expansion. Then it is not only the grinding but the massive amount time you will invest in arenas and such to get geared to where you can mildly be competitive. The Win/loss Ratio will be off the charts. The friend carrying you will pay in blood for every win you get.
I’m quitting as well see you in the morning.
Have…have you been playing WoW? Or any online game?
Name a time, any time, where you didn’t have to do group content for “the best gear.”
…it’s an mmo. Of course you have to be in a group
I am being told PVP vendors in SL.
I will look at them when I get there. I want a full set of gear and weapons.
Players should be able to get a full set of gear for PVP from doing PVP.
I got some pretty sick Titanforges from world quests on my alts back in Legion
I don’t think that counts as a legitimate gearing method.
And on that note, goodbye. Millions of players will suck it up and continue to play.
It’s a middle ground if you are objective on it.
If you run one mythic 15+ per week you still get a 226 ilvl gear piece, which is till higher than heroic raiding where the first 8 bosses are 213 ilvl and the last 2 bosses are 220.
That means running the mythic weekly vault nets you a 226 ilvl gear, which matches mythic raiding level.
There’s no reason or room to complain. Mythic raiders likely put in more work to get that 226 gear than 1 mythic +15 run for the weekly vault box of 226 ilvl gear.
They tried to find a middle ground between those who run heroic and then those that just want to do mythic +.
Can I have your gold
