Just Cancelled my preorder of SL

it’s casual because you don’t have to think. You can nearly afk doing that.

Boring. mutes thread

You don’t need a mythic raid gear for random BGs. However, with the gear currently available to folks who don’t enjoy M+, raiding or rated PvP, you will be completely steam rolled by folks who do enjoy that content. That makes random BGs no longer enjoyable.

I haven’t purchased SL. I’ll be messing around at level 50 for a bit and then letting my sub lapse. I too am more than willing to grind at things I enjoy for decent (I didn’t say Best nor BiS, I said decent) gear, but there isn’t any. Blizz’s game. they can do as they chose. My time. I do as I chose.

The same way doing 1000 hours of heroic dungeons and LFR is casual. lol

It’s trivial content. You want better gear? Do something that takes more skill.

Edit: That is a general you, btw. Not you specifically. lol

I’ve said it before. Make gear go away in BGs. Gladiators fight naked. PVP is all about skill, right?

i see that i post with an alt, sorry

At the end of the day it’s still an RPG. I never agreed with this perspective.

Would be nice if they added something for the people that like to quest and get gear differently. Yes we like to pew pew stuff too. Without us casuals ( as you call it ) the game would collapse. Even if you could get +5 ilvl gear upgrade per each paragon completed up to (normal raid ilvl) would be fine by me. For the questing exploration type.

Seems silly that blizzard created these huge worlds and there isnt any gear in it until the end of the expac when everyone has quit.

not naked, but if they give a base set for everyone on BGs and arena i said its a better solution.

They tried something similar a few expansions ago and the pvp crowd complained bitterly that they couldn’t one shot noobs.

After 200 hours mythic raid is also trivial content. FFXIV (the only other real MMO on the market) allows you to get raid quality gear by crafting and pentamelding/relic weapons. You can do this entirely solo. Most people don’t, because raiding is more fun and requires less time.

ESO is my favourite MMO aside from WoW and you can craft some of the best gear in the game in that.

I’m not necessarily opposed to a progression path for folks outside of what we have but it needs to be difficult in its own way and it needs to be very time consuming as to not undermine what we already have.

Random BGs shouldn’t give mythic equivalent gear under any circumstances imo.

Sorry I’m late.

You are always late. If this was a job you’d be fired by now. :stuck_out_tongue:

I get your point that I think you are really trying to make which is “I don’t like having to do content I don’t like in order to max out in the content I do like.”

It’s this constant overlap in different play styles that Blizzard implements that causes so much friction and the food fights I see on this forum. Blizzard wants us to do all sorts of content in order to be competitive in the niche we like to get play. I’m not a fan of that. Let me just play the way I want to play.

I’ve been playing Horrific Visions and really enjoying the solo instanced content and then take my daughter occasionally to get her cloak rank up. It’s really fun for me, but I’ve noticed a problem with the loot table doesn’t award gear for every slot. If you want a weapon, ring or trinket then Mythic+ or Heroic or higher raiding must be accomplished. The player can’t depend on a 445 item when you get into the higher mask levels unless you are one of those really good players. If you are going to have achievements for 5 mask solo runs, then let the gear be available in the vision to be able to achieve that objective.

These threads just explode. In my defense this time I was riding around with the top down. Not many days left.

.and?

Solo content had never given better gear than group content.

PvE gear has always surpassed PvP gear for most of wows existence.

If you are quiting over this… why didn’t you do that years ago?

TLDR: the “problem” you describe is as old as WoW.

What is the point of playing a multiplayer game if you don’t want to do group content? I know there is content that people will want to do on their own, but what I’m saying is that this game was specifically designed for people to acquire the most valuable resources by running with others.
