How? In bgs with 9+ players?
Like, a group?

wow changed, period. maybe you didnt like the change but as a new player, i think the game makes a lot of sense, blizzard isnt trying to make veterans and pvpers happy theyre just trying to make a game thats fun to play for the majority and i feel like they succeeded, there were some mistakes made in bfa but shadowlands seems to be better
Sure but reading OP’s thread beyond the first sentence is clear he refers to group content as pve content.
So, why respond to me?
Did you not read what I quoted and responded to?
You only have 9k achieve points. We won’t miss you.
Sir, this is an MMO.
I mean, that’s what MMOs are about. The best gear should come from the hardest content. Group content is by nature, going to be more challenging than solo content as you have the added factor of coordination.
Visions were semi-difficult solo content. Torghast is actually challenging from what I’ve played. We have yet to see if Twisting Corridors will reward gear, but it’s still fantastic solo content.
Because clearly OP’s thread is about something and your reply doesn’t apply to that, regardless if you picked something convenient for you to nitpick.
He didn’t say he wanted free gear. He said he was willing to grind for it. If Blizzard put a full mythic quality set behind 1000 hours of bgs I don’t see this as a problem. You would have to play 5 times as much as a CE player to get the same items.
Uh, wow has never made solo gearing better than group content. Never, ever. Even in wow classic, some of the best gear (pre naxx) was from pvp, but that is still group content. I do not want people who can hop into a solo experience get raid quality gear, cause raiding is a huge time investment. This is an MMO, you should have to play with other people. Join a guild man, there are TONS with various schedules, some allow hop in raids, so you can sign up for the raids you can make.
Why anyway would want to play this game by themselves is beyond me.
you are one of the toxic people I’m talking about, 9k is what you can get from only doing LFR and PVP, so that proved my point.
And who are you? do I need you to miss me? I don’t care about you at all, do what you want.
Kinda in the same boat, only do casual content but they put super sweaties as your opponents in casual BGs, makes sense… How about they put only people with gear from casual content against others geared from casual content and m+ other non queue geared can fight against eachother.
I knew forgetting the /s was going to fool somebody…
Made me laugh.
The OP wants to be a lone wolf and receive gear that can compete with gear from organized group content.
The game has never been that way and will likely never be that way.
Did you read the OP?
I’m still in favor of the nuclear option of changing the holy trinity into something more.
i say no to solo content having competitive gear with group content. this is an MMO, and group content has ALWAYS been how you get the best gear (atleast since wrath, when i started playing).
the caveat here, is that yo a degree, you have a point about the best PvP gear coming from M+ and raiding. blixxard has outright said that those who do ALL content will have the best gear. so if you don’t do PvE as a PvPer or vice versa, you will miss out on some BiS pieces for your toons. this is NOT how it should be, especially since they are locking our power behind covenant choice. they want us to do all content, but want us to be subpar at most of it because of the soulbinds and conduit systems.
the best PvP gear should come from PvP. the best PvE gear should come from raids and M+. should either one be viable in the other? yes, but if you are a dedicated PvPer with a dedicated PvP set, you should have gear that functions better in PvP than that opponent who just dabbles in PvP out of boredom and is using his/her raid set.
Wasn’t rank 14 PvP gear in classic bis for some people?
Then do rated battlegrounds or arenas, get your rating up, and get gear that way.
Can’t expect the best gear out of casual play though.
They just need to give pvp gear back like it have been until legion comes. I dont care if thos mythic raiders/M+ have all the shinny great things for pve. I just want to pvp, and deal against people who actualy do pvp.
The main problem is force pve for pvp content.
They remove the pvp gear progression in legion when nobody ask for it.
They just need to give it back.
How is grinding bgs for 1000 hours casual?
