Congratulations on cheat day… if we were in the same place I’d gladly offer you any pickles that came with my food… I do not like them… no Sam not in a plane or in a train or even a box with friendly foxes… I do not like them Sam-I-Am.
I’m glade at least one of those I consider a friend is enjoying the plunderstorm. You’ll likely never see me there, I really don’t handle toxic elements well… pvp stopped being enjoyable a long time ago for that reason.
So long as I can I’ll keep checking in. Even if just to throw some hearts at you guys.
Grats on the Nooming, Channyn. It works more on a psychological basis, right?
I’m just doing what works for me - Low Carbing (or “keto”?) and I need to lose about 35 more pounds, before I can fit into my jeans - speaking in a normal tone, and get out of bed without having to launch/bounce myself off. I managed it on “3”, usually.
Edited Add: The Princess Of Wales, Catherine -. Light Be With Her. 🩷
Just a couple of words about the reading of the posts we have to do. I don’t know how many more there are for me, but I am enjoying reading some of them, even though they don’t apply to me, such as merging the elves.
There are two posters I really enjoyed on GD, and that was Aussielight and Encephalon. Not only was the narrative awesomely presented, but some of their posts looked so good, they made you want to read them. Not dots, but red diamonds to bullet the points.
Not much to say except that all this reading of posts is giving me an education in gaming and the folks who are part of it.
For instance, I now know what sharding means - now that it has happened to me. I had heard of the term, but just let it go because I understood it in a different context. But now that I know, ja, it’s happened - I just didn’t question it when it did.
And ja, a question: Does anyone know where/how Blizz gets their beautiful scenery or is that a trade secret? Also will they be going on another world tour for scenery - if that’s how they do it, that is - ? Where haven’t we been. Earth 2? Mars? History? - Lots to choose from there…
OK, just being wistful. Back to Channyn, our host.
I had written hostess, but changed it after I couldn’t find the “mark-through” sign. Also, I think that suffix -ess - is probably not pc, so that’s another reason to include the explanation.
Nightsong, feel free to critique me. I’m needing correcting more and more often according to that grammar-service.
EDITED TO ADD: The first time I signed on to Plunderstorm, we got caught in a “strobe light” situation. When I say “strobe” it’s because I don’t know the correct word, but there were several colored lights flashing rapidly enough to cause difficulty for some of our friends. Maybe they will have fixed it by now.
Quiet Sunday here. Nothing much to report. Need to get ready for the week ahead. Still a little fuzzy, 'cause I just woke up. But today is the day I just eat anything and everything I want. I doubt I’ll be too bad, but we’ll see.
Cer’s making chicken fried rice for dinner tonight; he’s such a great cook. I should poke him to post in here just to say hello.
Oh! Tomorrow my poetry class starts, but I also have a foot doctor appointment, which I’m going to just to be sure that everything’s moving along with my foot as it should be. During the trip, it would start hurting sometimes, but we were often walking well over 12,000 steps a day; so, I’m guessing that overuse wasn’t helping the healing.
Hope you all have a good week this week. Did you do anything exciting over the weekend? Do you have any plans for the upcoming week? I’d love to hear!
Hey y’all! I rolled back my forum time and on WoW then come back by and see I got canned A person can only be so much a snarky-smart-alit in GD to survive lol. I start poking around other things and finally find some familiar faces!
Hope ya’ll are doing well. Hey, Bill, if you want to strike-through text on the forums, you do can surround the text to be struck-out with [s] and then [/s] which will give you and then like so. So, add "[s]" in front and then "[/s]" behind what you want to to strike-through. Since it’s not on the post editing menu either, underlining text works the same way except replace the ‘s’ with a ‘u’ so that this becomes this.
Thanks, Pharazon! Stuff I can use - like that little-bitty letters-typing. I forgot which one of you taught me to do that, but I sure do like using it! It’s like opening a fourth wall.
Hope you are doing well. Anything exciting going on in your neck of the woods?
Also, heya, Alael!
Sorry to hear you got caught up in the Beta thing, too. It’s still a little frustrating to me, but I’m guessing they want that space for big-time contributors–rather than just people who helped them make their game better by checking out the betas. shrugs Such is life, eh?
Much love and hope for the future. I know how hard it can be to remain motivated.
edit: lol, blizzard… “you have posted a lot in this thread consider letting other post as well…” you know I would wait, but I’d rather give more than just a heart to someone who needs it…
Time for the (first?) weekend of the ultimate purge! I’m a total packrat in-game and out. I have made an effort to save up all receipts, bank statements investment reports and bills for each year and save them in shoeboxes, just in case of whatever. Same for taxes of course. My “collection” goes back to 1995 lol.
I had a small shredder but bought a bigger one that cuts things to the sizes of a fingernail. Up to six compacted kitchen garbage bags full of confetti. The oldest bill I found is an Alltel phone bill from mid September, 1995. It is on the refrigerator now but might get it laminated lol.
Yes! For those that celebrate, Happy Easter! And also Happy Trans Day of Recognition! And last, but not least, Happy Spring! May your gardens flourish, your hearts blossom, and your souls be full of songs!
I’ve had a few bunny rabbits as pets; the most affectionate was our last bunny. It was a white lionhead rabbit. It was super cute and affectionate, and it loved to groom me. It was supposed to be snake food. We rescued her. Her name was Gracie.
My gardens are coming along nicely. It’s been raining the past few days, so I’m glad I cut the grass this past weekend! Work is going amazingly well, so yeah! It’s even better since I work from home. I’ve been working at home 100% since 2001.
Jonãs, I hope you are doing well. And, everyone else too, I ya’ll, and I hope everyone is doing alright or as alright as possible. I had a couple rough days with a funeral last week, but also some good days over the weekend. The week has been normal okay-enough overall I guess. Just got to keep on keeping on.
