Jaina Proudmoore committed unspeakable acts against blood elves,m

Deaths from Scourge infested lands wouldn’t be Lor’themar’s own version of the Purge of Dalaran; that’d just be death by the Scourge or whatever else was in the Plaguelands, something Lor’themar clearly didn’t want considering he offered supplies to the High Elves once Silvermoon was finally in a stable condition to give aid to the Quel’dorei without complication, and didn’t even protest when Renthar told him to buck off with an F and that he should send Sylvanas his head, both thanks to that and The Horde PC killing people at the lodge in the name of Nathanos.

They would be safe(or at least safer) in their homes if they were not kicked out of it. Any deaths from the exile would be on Lother’mar’s head.

That dwarf also befriends the blood elf he was ranting at, admits he was just trying to get a rise out of him, and departs at the end to let the guy’s high elf wife know he died a hero. “No integrity” lmao.

Anyway, since Zerde’s attempt to spin this as an analogue to the Purge of Dalaran is embarrassing, I skimmed the wiki to try and find a proper one. It strikes me that the word “purge” is never used to describe Malfurion’s exile of the Highborne, or Baine’s exile of the Grimtotem, or Lor’themar’s exile of the anti-mana tappers/void cult, and so on. Know what is, though? Elisande’s “purge of the Waning Crescent.” A population purge in response to accusations of treason, innocents murdered at their posts, survivors detained in arcane prisons…

Funny how that doesn’t apply to driving people out of their camp and directly into a bunch of quillboar.

Yes there is. The fact he’s angry and trying to bait them.

There was nothing worse than helplessness. He raged at the Horde.

Talithar’s face whitened, giving Baenan the satisfaction of having hit a nerve. He realized it was unwise to bait his jailor, but he was too angry to care

He’d intended to upset the
elf, but the depth of Talithar’s reaction was shocking. Still, the Horde had taken Baenan
captive and denied him the chance to fight with weapons, so he battled with words. And
this mage was a symbol of everything he despised.

No she wasn’t. Even Athas didn’t “participate” and every single other person purged was innocent. They were targeted because of their race.

Yeah, classic attempt to bait people away from a point you are loosing on.

Truly he will try literally anything before admitting it was an evil thing for jaina to do

Hawthorne didnt know about the Quillboar. Lother’mar did.

They were targeted because they were members of the Horde and they did not maintain their promise of neutrality. I have said it before and I will say it again, Jaina should have forced everyone to give up any faction loyalties for everyone in Dalaran.

And yet it was Hawthorne who forced the innocents into the slaughter by the Quillboar. Funny how you will justify just about anything

He gave them an escape route. Had he know there were quillboars there he WOULD NOT have given them that route and given them a different one. Unlike Lothermar who know of the Scourge and didnt care his own people were sent into Sourge infested lands.

X for doubt. Besides, doesn’t change what happened.

X for doubt.

There are some, even in Alliance High Command, who argued that I let an opportunity slip away. That I should’ve taken hostages. But I don’t see the value in those sort of terror-tactics.
Hear me out, : I want this war to end someday. It won’t ever stop if we butcher or imprison civilians.-General Hawthorne

Ok. Again, doesn;t change what happened in the actual quest

Still you now at least agree this was not some delibrate thing.

Didn’t say it was deliberate. Wasn’t even a claim being made. Just said it was Hawthorne’s fault for the innocents being slaughtered

Not everything has to have intentional malice behind it in order for a terrible action to be someone’s fault

You said you doubted it. Now there is no doubt that if Hawthorne had know the Quillboars were there he wouldnt have sent them to that particular escape route.

It was a joke. Mostly. :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

Funny its now a joke. Just admit you didnt know and move on.

It was and will remain a joke. Because I knew it wasn’t intentional, nor did I even claim it was intentional

But that’s utterly lost on you as usual

Yeah something tells me you didnt.
