Ivus loot bug reverted yet?

Someone who just started in BfA and levelled to 120 could potentially be forgiven and potentially get off with a warning (the dust and items would still be removed as they should be).

But if you’ve been around for more than 1 expansion, you should know how things work by now.

And how many times did you get loot? If you got loot all 7 times, you should have realized something was seriously broken, reported it and moved on. In fact you should have STOPPED when you saw the third piece of loot and realized something was broken.

I have had that happen myself, about having to kill a mob multiple times to get the WQ to clear. But that doesn’t matter. What matters is the loot dropping more than it is supposed to and you taking advantage of it.

I didn’t get loot any times.

I don’t think analogies are your strong point, son.

Simply not true. Many people such as myself just play the game and don’t pay attention to these details. Been playing since vanilla. Couldn’t even remember how big raids used to be (thought they were 25 man until someone corrected me that they were 20 man). I regularly have to google “how do i get to tanaris in bfa” “how do I get to northrend” “there are TWO dalarans?”. Some people exploited knowingly. Others did not. That is inarguable. It’s also inarguable that separating these people is probably impossible. If so, unless Blizzard can magically find distinction between these people, they should not be punished. I have no clue how loot rules work. I don’t pay attention to this kind of stuff. I play a warrior and demon hunter. Me smash. That’s more or less the extent of my knowledge of game mechanics.

And again I am playing advocate here and only had one bonus roll on both of my toons (as my lack of being suspended over this nonsense will attest whenever they go through with it)

They’ve clearly stated they will base it on how severe it was. Why are you trying to imply you’re going to be given a ban unless you’re lying about how much you killed it? Does nobody have the ability to read and think for themselves anymore? Do you think a forum post will detract from their actual data? Get real.

I also find it hard to believe you spent that much time in dark shore with out hearing about it one way or another. I learned about it 5 minutes in, seen the silver dragon remain and knew it would be rolled back and if abused punishment would ensue.

The way I see it, if things were tested, checked, and re checked none of this would have happened. I personally feel that BFA should be coming out like this week. That would have let things be fixed. I feel it was released way to early.
So with that thought, if people killed a boss over and over, fix it, leave it alone.
I did not, found out about it but did not care to do it again. Those that did… suspend for 1 day… really? Why waste the time?
Bottom line… test stuff, you can make your own live server and test everything… got enough people that say they " play the game" to test everything.

I literally laugh at every person who got stuck on this world quest and gave up on it.

Literally only need to walk to the other end of the world quest area and kill the devilsaurs and direhorns to complete the world quest with ease.

Like seriously are you people blind?

In some people’s cases, they have general/trade turned off, and don’t visit the forums to check for bugs on a daily basis. I typically use WoWhead for the bluetracker on updates/posts/bugfixes, and this is the first topic they’ve responded to about it, and it’s been a week since some of the first reports went in. Myself having reported it as a bug as well. I didn’t even know it was a thing till thursday or friday night when I reported it as bugged.

And those people would not be killing a world boss over and over. Every group i joined mentioned it. You certainly have a valid point but ignorance can only get people so far. This dude farmed out every rare multiple times and went there on many alts. If he had nothing to be worried about he wouldn’t be worried.

It’s not that i don’t understand mistakes happen and i’m sure Blizz will not ban people for a few kills but acting as if the shoe will fit doesn’t make somebody look innocent.

This is the worst Horde Bias I’ve EVER seen.
Horde players get to be banned for the rest of BFA.

Is the wallet yours? If not, then it is, by definition, theft.

Tell that to all the Horde players getting suspended and losing all of this gear.

Uhmmmm…citation required. Other than bugged bosses when have you been able to coin in 1 reset multiple times?

I would be more inclined to say “eh, let’em go” except this is not a new system. I have a hard time believing that anyone not brand new to the game could possibly have not known this was not allowed/intended.

Still, if you can provide a link/citation to a legitimate (i.e. intended) point where you could coin multiple times in 1 reset on the same boss I would be most interested in seeing it.

It’s funny how people are on here trying to justify it to the forums. When Blizz looks at their actual data they don’t care about these peoples sob storys. Bonus rolls multiple times on the same boss has never been a thing but so many people are on here acting as if it was. The phrase “you’re only kidding yourself” comes to mind.

It’s honestly embarrassing at times how illogical a lot of this player base is. Nice for the most part, sure. Trying to talk your way out of this on the forums though? C’mon.

cant wait to see if they ban cdew for this too. was streaming it and laughing about it. plenty of people watching how this is handled

Did he really? A streamer should know better. Wow. Blizzard certainly doesn’t hold back when banning exploiters. I guess he can talk about it with Reckfuls stream in his down time.

he did. he deleted the videos trying to hide it. if boetar can be banned so can cdew.

“Fine by blizzard” is getting loot stripped and accounts suspended. Leave it to the alliance player to come up with braindead reasoning like that.

No you can’t abuse a known bug. What a silly question to ask.
