Ivus loot bug reverted yet?

I was being facetious…

Big word for alliance scum, did you race change from horde?

Thank you for the update, Lore. Sorry for the flippant tone of the original, wasn’t really directed at the dev’s, was just a rhetorical bit of flippancy.

Well at least they got loot . On my warrior got no loot or gold and no extra roll in last 10 min. So blizz fixed it kind of . Now its some get loot some get nothing not even a extra role

@brutalistica some players were farming this world boss for 8+ hours, clearly exploiting the bug and not reporting it, anyone that exploited a bug that severely definitely deserves a temp ban IMO, i doubt they are going to ban players who killed the boss 2-3 times, its for the extreme cases, just like during wotlk lich king boss fight a guild decided to use engineering bombs to regrow platforms and be the first guild to down the boss, they lost the kill, all loot and got banned temporarily, anyone who exploits deserves the ban IMO

‘If it looks like an exploit - don’t do it’ - A tweet from Blizzard during one of the world races in Legion. Sound Advice.

Even better advice is “Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it” ~Winston Churchill

Is it using an exploits? Or! Is is using what is open them?
The LK kill… well the game was there… they played, they saw a way to kill, surely a billion $$$ company tested everything before going and releasing it to the public, right? That is a business standard practice. ( Like seeing a new thing at subway and going to get it, the staff knows how to make it )
The people that did it for 8 hours… Sure was a waste of time. But! If it was tested it should not be a " thing" anyway.
Fix it. Leave it alone. Learn from it. Make sure you dot all the I’s and T’s.
I say no ban, let them have the loot.

and am I suppose to feel sorry for that because it’s Blizzard fault? If they have the power to remove the items then the damage is done. Not likely to do it again because most likely the items would be removed like last time. The oppressing laws for no reason acting like they killed someone. The players exploited and had fun. Items got removed so fun is over plain and simple.

Imagine abusing a system you know is clearly not working as intended and whining about it.

Incredible.

When I killed him on my horde toons I was unable to bonus roll at all. Alliance, one could, the other could not bonus roll. Horde bias my backside. “Some” players may have found a way to benefit from a bug of some kind but that doesn’t make for “horde bias”. Doesn’t it get tiring being so offended all the time?

let them keep the 385 pieces of gear that you can only get from mythic raiding or that boss, oh and scrapping all the extra gear drops they got which turned into other 385 gear, or they could have farmed enough to save up for 415’s the day they are released, that sounds like an awful idea, they should lose all of it. Are you for it because you did it?

The Horde got that because there quite simply wasn’t a requirement, not because of some bug that allowed them to cheat their way through. In addition to that, the gear was only 340 item level compared to the 385 (top of the line) gear dropping from Ivus, and if you didn’t horrendously abuse the bug you have nothing to worry about.

Usually I would agree that cheaters should be banned, not suspended, from the game for cheating. But bugs are so common in BfA that nobody even knows what is going on half the time.

Blizzard needs to start suspending their incompetent development and QA team.

Yes cause logging in and out causing a world quest, world boss even, to pop up again over and over. Clearly players have no idea how world quests and world bosses work. Right? Since Legion, WQ’s have been one and done until they pop up next cycle/reset.

I doubt the people who simply killed it a few times for more bonus rolls will be actioned but the people who knowingly logged in and out over and over to get the WQ to pop back up? You know as much as I do that that was very deliberate. That was very obviously an exploit that wasn’t intended so I’m sorry if you took advantage you deserve to be punished.

Honestly, I’m glad Blizzard is being aggressive with this issue. Blizzard making a mistake is whatever, we aren’t new to that. Players stumbling across the mistake unknowingly is one thing. Players stumbling across the mistake and then proceeding to exploit it not once, not twice but literally dozens upon dozens of time? Come on. Which world boss, in the history of WoW, have you been able to kill repeatedly being eligible for loot simply by logging out and back in? People trying to say “Oops I thought it was intended”… Bullcrap. The ones who abused this knew 100% it wasn’t intended. And that’s easily proven by the people with a ton of Titan Residue and/or a log of dozens upon dozens of drops off the boss.

Man look at this another post from alliance that somehow circles back to the time Horde Got Arathi first.

Don’t have time for that. They’re too busy fixing the model for a damn battle-pet cat that maybe 3 people care about.

Imagine using the same boring, tired, old comparison that means little now and even less than it did before. It makes less sense than apples to oranges

If you don’t allow for bugs in complex software systems, you don’t have realistic expectations. The onus is on the player to not violate the Terms of Service. Stop whiteknighting cheaters.

Just examine the horde on the next patch day and look for those 415 ilev azerite we are going to see. You know blizz aint going to do anything about it as that would take work, blizz isn’t about working these days.

No.

Explain to me where logging off and logging back on again to reset the WQ is working as intended? I’m sorry, but even a NEW player would not be that naive. That’s a deliberate action and there is no indication anywhere in the game that one should log out after a WQ so they can do it again, over and over and over. No previous expansion EVER had such a mechanic built in.

So please, drop the ‘new player’ reasoning. Anyone that did this knew better.
