If you can match the difficulty sure, however given so much of WoWs group content difficulty derives from the need for both consistency across a given number of players and coordination between said players I don’t think blizzard are anywhere close to that ballpark, even with “AI”.
Not to mention once content is solo player friendly it becomes infinitely more accessible and people who wander into it expecting to just progress to whatever reward it offers get stuck and complain the content needs to be easier because they can’t do it.
You’ve never been in a group with me. You don’t do the content I do, and even if you did (you don’t) THE moment YOU started TYPING like THIS in CHAT you’d BE gone.
Players who are struggling to play the difficult content are obviously struggling with the concept that in an MMO like WoW, it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever that “solo players” have a path to max progression without doing it the same way the rest of us do.
I’m not sure why “solo players” feel so entitled to gear when they play the game like a full time job and just do trivial content the entire time while calling themselves “casual.”
And let’s not muddy the water here. It’s not that you dislike group content. It’s that you are adverse to any challenge in game, or criticism to the point that you are attempting to gas light us into thinking there are subsets of players who deserve max gear, only they just don’t enjoy playing in groups.
I think everyone in this thread is missing the big picture here. The hardest content in the game sets the tone for almost all group content in the game.
WoW has become a very competitive, focused game since Legion. The game has always had elements of this in the game, but the old devs were smart enough not to indulge this hardcore play style.
The end game used to be more inclusive and way more accessible for the average gamer. I’m talking about the hardest difficulties pre-Legion, the average gamer could find a guild that fit their play style and progress into the hardest modes that were available.
The game we have now is just segmented into a million different difficulties. On one end, you have LFR type content which offers zero challenge, doesn’t teach players anything on how to play the game. On the other end you have high keys and Mythic raiding which requires a ton of game knowledge, twitch reflexes and time to invest into learning those levels of play.
I just think the game was better when the entire game targeted the averager gamer, WoW didn’t have this extreme toxic element that is present in almost all group content, mainly due to people wanting to mimic the meta chaser, competitive type of play style that is so prevelant in the game now.
Playing FF14 is such a breath of fresh air, because their developers don’t try to chase RWF raiders and M+ junkies.
I put the blame squarely on the developers for how toxic WoW’s endgame has become. I think they’re really starting to pay the price for the years of just ignorance.
I hate to put blame on a single dev, but when Ion took over the game, this is when things started to shift towards what we have now.
Edit: I don’t think adding more options to solo group content is the answer either.
While I disagree with a lot of your takes, you are correct about people that make posts like this.
The irony is, they are typically not even doing the hardest content, most of them are M+ junkies that probably are getting carried by better players.
Its rare to come across someone making comments like this that are great at M+ and Mythic raiding. Most of them are just heroic raiders posing as some elite player.
lmao…dude literally cant control his own behavior here…and certainly behaves this exact same way in game. lol.
No way we want to deal with THAT when WE just want to enjoy the game lol
sorry…quoted your post when i posted at the other guy lol.
But yeah…we dont have to agree on anything really. You like the game YOUR way… like it MY way…and bliz has done a great job providing enough content for BOTH of us.
and yeah…ALL of the ones foaming in here about our solo game AINT good M+ players or good Mythic Raiders.
Theyre ALL wannabes who couldnt make the cut, raging out on US to get their hate out of their systems, lol
The GOOD M+/ mythic raider players arent in here railing at anyone…theyre either playing the game right now…or planning the next session.
ask yourself why this guy is even here…isnt actually contributing. Raging out in here thus CONFIRMING for all to see exactly WHY this game needed more solo content so we can avoid this kind of behavior in game…
Look at how you post. Look at what you post. You’re in here imagining a scenario in which I actually care about how you play the game.
I do not.
I dislike your verbiage, your posting style; and your gas lighting. I dislike you as a human being. How you play has no bearing on it. You are fighting some imaginary crusade in your mind against the big evil bad guys who care that you really don’t even play (as evidenced by 4k and some change achievement points) or how you play.
You have an enormous amount of extremely low quality forum posts. This is your entertainment, and you annoy me.
I’ve been playing this game since 2004. I know what I’m talking about. I was probably raiding before you were even born.
Pugging end game in any mode is toxic.
It is waste of time trying to debate players like you, you just can’t see the big picture.
I will admit, that if you have a solid guild to run with, you won’t experience this toxicity that you do pugging.
WoW has always had a toxic element when it comes to pugging, but toxicity has been put on steroids since Legion when Blizzard starting putting more systems and difficulties in the game that were targeted at hardcore competitive types.
I play other MMOs, and the toxicity levels in those games can’t hold a candle to WoW.
WoW has the same problems as most competitive shooters and competitive MOBAs.
Post on your main?
Yep, most of the good players are playing the game. The elitist people posting on low level characters are some of the worst personalities on this forum, I can’t imagine what they are like in game.
I wonder which forum regular you are? Posting on a new alt I see?
Come on now. Do better than this. A quick browse shows that you’ve really never stepped much outside of entry level raiding.
I doubt you were raiding before I was born, WoW released 17 years after that event. I doubt you were raiding at all when I was learning how to keybind in Blackwing lair, or when the bug tunnels in AQ 40 would freeze out my dial up internet.
you don’t do end game content, you have no idea what you’re talking about.
It’s online gaming. Literally every online game has sucky people in it. It’s not unique nor is it endemic to WoW.
You and the boomer you’re talking to don’t even play endgame, you wouldn’t even know what a good player was if you saw them.
oh yeah…
I can smell the difference immediately between a good end gamer and self aggrandizing joke players.
The GOOD players never CARE what anyone else is doing and they PROVE it by NOT coming into threads like this to rail and foam at others.
They’ll comment, sure…but they devote their energy to their game, not trying to beat someone else down to feel superior like this joker in here is doing today.
Anytime one has to beat the other guy down its because they need to in order have someone ‘lower’ than they are. lol.
Total blown self esteem issue, lol
yeah…son…and its been made clear that we HATE your sort of player in game…IF you WERE actually good at end game, we’d avoid it entirely BECAUSE of your obnoxious sort.
Adding up now? Or do I need to splain it better?
I dont need to feel superior to you or the poster above.
You barely play, and the poster above hasn’t played any relevant content in years while talking about endgame like they actually understand it.
I just dislike you, specifically; as a human being. You’re delusional, and watching you bounce around IN your OWN little ECHO chamber IS super ANNOYING.
