Tauren outlaw rogue named Bullion.
Not his real name. His fellow pirates nicknamed him that after he panicked during a battle and loaded a cannon with gold coins when he ran out of cannonballs. Now he has to work off his debt before he can go free.
It was a joke, sort of. I mean if youâre saying a race canât do a thing (which you did) that would make you racist if you were an NPC in the game, but here weâre just discussing it as fans of the game. If you choose to take a joke so seriously, that is your choice. But I find your argument, and blizzardâs, lacking.
Nah this is the one argument I canât debate, as itâs just us having a different opinion. For us, the only decider is who more people agree with. Respect man <3
How so? Look lore is open to interpretation, that is the point. What you said and what he said were two very different things. âThey cant because NPCs are special because blizzard says soâ. Not only is that not even an original thought, itâs one I find hilarously silly. Why should NPCs be special? And are you implying that the person who spends the majority of the game being referred to as âchampionâ âsaviorâ âheroâ etc. is just, what, some average Joe? No.
What he said was that he feels the current restrictions and reason are, in his opinion, a better fit. And thatâs it, thatâs just his opinion and his preference. He knows my argument, and he doesnât say itâs invalid, he just doesnât agree. Thats fine. people do that.
Mute the thread if you wish, you didnât contribute anything of your own anyways.
I would argue that there are some class and race combinations that feel perfectly possible but do not exist for some lore reasons that feel a little outdated. Worgen and goblin monks, Draenei rogue, and a wider variation of demon hunters. Possibly night elf Paladins as well after the covenant story. It is possible.
Culture is also an important factor for classes. Goblins are too greedy to be monks, Worgen have a bit of a rage issue. The Draenei culture that the pc is apart of and those needed to be rogues donât mix. Illidan found that only the elves could survive the ritual. (Further more he was very much against teaching other races his secrets.)
Orcs have rage issues and they are monks. Goblins could find value in patience. Draenei culture is changing and we seeing more and more Draenei wanting to take action before tragedy strikes them again. Even in their starting area you can see that. Draenei from WoD who were technically from the past encompasses different views on how and when is best to take action. Illidan didnât train other demon hunters because his pride kept him from doing so. He didnât even like high elves. Orcs, Draenei, and the Tauren have all shown great potential in the game for being capable of absorbing fel energies and not completely losing themselves. Itâs possible I believe.
Take it a step further for the Worgen monk⌠their whole story is about gaining control over themselves. Training as a monk would be incredible way to strengthen Pandaren bonds with the worgen.
Iâm just at this point where Iâm saying some views are outdated and that our races should be growing with our story and their faction.
You know what blizzard need to do?
Dedicate a couple of brand new servers and have them as âanything gosâ, so only on those few/limited servers people can make VE pallies, BE druids, Tauren rogues, NE locks, gnome Dhs etc etc etc
None of it is canon/lore and you canât play with any of the canon/lore abiding servers. It is strictly there for fun xD Oh and transmog can be fully unrestricted too for the lolz
Gotta admit that is a pretty good idea yes? People who donât care about lore can have fun, people who do care about lore still have it intact, seems like a total win win to me
Sure, letâs homogenize the races to the point that they no longer have any unique culture to them. Just cause what, some people donât care about lore and racial flavour? No thank you.
