It's time to admit M+ and tank changes have made this season DOA

Thought FFXIV tanks are by default immortal and nothing they do mattered?

not really.

Not in raids, XIV suffers from REALLY easy dungeons. But the tank gameplay is a lot of fun. And I more mean buttons pressed not etc.

try brewmaster?

What do those numbers even mean? The global total M+ runs numbers each season?

Let’s say each expansion lasts about 2 years, so each season lasts around 6 months.

Take your SL number for example, 20 million M+ runs per season on average. The current global WoW sub is around 5-7M accounts.

So each player does less than 4 M+ per season (6 months) on average, which is less than 1 per month. That is pretty dead content.

And that is just average. In reality, 90%+ of those runs were done by the same 10%- players. M+ is pretty dead for the vastly majority of player base, and only alive for the minority passionate fans.

The vast majority of the player base does what? campaign, log off, and never play again if even that?

Have one just hate most of their tier sets vs. the class fantasy. It is one of the more fun tanks in WoW though for sure and if I get back the desire to tank it’ll probably be the one I play despite disliking their tier sets.

Can I complain about those like seriously who designs the Monk sets?! Why are so many of them Shredder? He wasn’t a monk he was a Ninja…

But an Earthen Brewmaster does tickle my fancy.

That plus questing, leveling, alting, pet battles, collecting transmogs, afking, etc. whatever they want to. The number clearly shows the majority doesn’t care about M+ for sure.

And based off this, how do you think Blizzard should focus resources?

I have a BDK in full Heroic gear ready to go into Mythic, but I don’t want to.

I play Sanlayn and I’m just a regular BDK except Lichborne and Vampiric Blood are now super cooldowns that I press.
Also if you’re Sanlayn Umbilicus, if you pop DRW then Vamp Blood, you do a super plague that gives you a super absorb shield, even better if you’re Bloodied Blade.

Most DKs are Deathbringer, they don’t even know about this interaction.

You’re 100% correct. It’s absolute nonsense to think just those key levels were bloat when mythic+ IN GENERAL is dog feces bloat that needs to go.

In interest of deleting bloat. There should be one difficulty for raid: Mythic.

One difficulty for dungeons +10 equivalent.

That’s such a wild take. It would be like people wanting every piece of content that people do that don’t raid or like group content needs to go.

Believe it or not M+ was and probably still is the most popular pillar of content wow has to offer.

As a longtime tank player this warms my cold, dead heart.

This is what happens when:
-Everyone nonstop complains about the tank going too slow or too fast
-People nonstop complain that tank’s route is not optimal
-Random verbal abuse to the tank
-No one bothers to learn the mechanics but the tank and healer, then blame the tank and healer for wipes

Everyone did this to themselves, which is why M+ has a tank shortage. I have four tank characters. At the first sign of my group acting like garbage people, I’ll brick the key and instantly find another group.

Can we get a hunter shortage already?

If people don’t want to do something, they won’t.

If they do, other people sure won’t stop them.

ah yes, what a classic:

Player who barely at all interacts with a system wants it entirely removed

nice

Im actually enjoying tanking on my warrior alt. Gearing up yet to do a mythic dungeon but so far has been fun. Prot warrior gsmeplay loop is much much more interesting and SMOOTH than prot pala (I main ret)

There are some anoying things like people disrespecting me and telling me to go faster or pulling before me, but it wasnt that common

I think Delves may have dethroned M+ for now, but only time will tell.

They’ll probably post stats at the end of Season One for total M+ runs and total Delves completed.

Also, I’m happy that PvP is “alive” again, we went from like 35+ minutes battlegrounds blitz queues, to 5-7 minutes thanks to it being added as an official rated mode.

PvP is stronger now as a pillar, but probably still behind the others. It always was, except in like Vanilla - Wrath

What exactly were the changes made to tanks? Returning player from Legion here.

Another silly topic on this.

M+ is great. Please stop asking for free handouts. You have delves for that.
