I mean honestly? GD is going to explode here in another week or 2, once most everyone has utilized delves to get all champ gear because delves shower you in the stuff, they are going to be on here screaming for more rewarding delve content.
Response “have you killed Zekvir ? Or ??” yet?
You haven’t finished your current content, come back when you have.
eh, i have not intent on even bothering, they don’t give anything
Fairly sure I got an ugly backpiece from it, so there’s something. Haha
i don’t do cosmetics
I’m an evoker, nor do I.
But that’s not by choice.
They should definitely have some more difficult mechanics, but I do like the fact that there’s an alternative progression path that you can just log in and get straight to doing when the people in your guild don’t happen to be on.
The side benefit is that having some levels that are pointless to for the purpose of gear is great since it keeps people expecting a farm party out of what should be the learning mode, they just need to remove the other incentives for it too so you don’t also get the people who will rage because some trinket from there is even at +0/+2 is better than their delve trinkets, build their own keystone or showed up to get rating.
One of the best things about FF14’s group finder is that you can lock a group to only people who have cleared the duty before, but the other side is that applying puts you in the group (meaning you can expect anyone that joins to be capable of doing their job, and the people fit to apply aren’t going to be constantly declined because someone else who also qualifies has a slightly higher ILVL). So the community meta ended up developing their own progression pathway where you’d join a marked learning party (and if it disbanded before seeing the whole fight, join a learning party that says to have seen up to a certain phase), then once you’d seen the entire fight join a clear party, then after you’d cleared that you could get into farm parties.
You’d never get any upgrades until the clear party, and it works pretty well. The worst I’ve seen happen is someone joins a clear party when they’re clearly not ready for it and gets removed. Having some levels where there is no incentive other than learning/fun isn’t a bad thing if it helps align player expectations.
At the moment that should be heroics (base mechanics), M0s (Additional mythic mechanic + stuff hitting hard enough that some of the heroic mechanics that a player notices certain heroic mechanics that they thought were a heal check), and M2s (base affix), but even now there are still some incentives encouraging people who just want loot to do them.
and people on FF complain about not being able to wear hats
I’m hoping Blizzard will expose the Delve data in their API, as I’d be really curious to see those sites start tracking Delve runs. AFAIK, Blizzard hasn’t actually exposed that data in their API (yet).
lets run a hypothetical here
lets say the squish didn’t happen, and gear was at the same level… one of the major complaints i see is that you can’t get upgrades til +7, wouldn’t that still be the same?
8 million people play WoW…
Make some friends. Join a guild.
Tanks and a lot of healers are playing with people they know because of toxicity in pugs.
Get in a guild focused on the content you want. Plenty in guild finder.
I am enjoying it so far as a DPS player, as a healer, and I just got my tank ready to go into M+. It’s been pretty fun. Not sure what all the complaining is about, lol.
Everyone hates this M+ season.
DPS wait 2 hours to run one dungeon after being declined 47 times.
Healers have to be gigachad pumpers because every dungeon is a miserable 24/7 aoe damage nightmare. You kick mobs and they immediately start casting the same ability anyways. A single DPS eat a 1-shot mechanic and dies? Time to get flamed.
Tanks are expected to know every optimized route for every dungeon within 2 hours of the dungeon dropping, psychically predict what the exact number of mobs to pull is based on group skill. One group you pull 10 mobs? Flamed for too big. One group you pull 3 mobs? Flamed for too small.
Well for a lot of us PvP players they are easy to tell. For example on this toon you can see I got 1600+ for bis stuff opening day and then I drop my cr waaaay down to carry. I don’t don’t do it for gold but to help my teammates get 1600 (duo Que blitz)
It’s super easy I imagine it’s the same in m+
More or less yeah, though i would say that arena carrying is the hardest, but in terms of RBG, M+, and raid, its all the same difficulty/ease to carry assuming who ever is carrying is good at that particular content.
Like you cant just grab 4 other mooks that are barely able to time 20s(now 10s) and expect them to carry the dead weight of 1 other person to get them timed 10s on everything
Just like you cant expect 9 people in an RBG who can just crest 1800 to be able to carry the weight of that one other person to 1800 as well.
I do admit though that pvp is a harder aspect of the game nad does require skill. I have always said if you wanna be a better pve player, go be even half decent at pvp. If you can hit 1600 even, you are on paper going to be a lot better then most pve players.
dang i was trying my blood dk alt and i was getting the same hp spikes, thought it was just me. glad im not alone in having these weird hp spikes on blood dk, and it feels horrible.
prot warr still feels good though, unless the healer is bad.
I don’t think many are tracking Blood’s Runic power which I’ve found is a big part off knowing how and when to heal them.
Anytime I see someone say, “it’s time to admit M+ is bad/failed/ruined the game/etc etc” I know to laugh at them directly because 9 times out of 10, they’re just upset they weren’t picked… and boom!
The phrase is “moot point”.
Anyway, I am totally on board with this season’s design where I can completely ignore M+ (or even M0). Thanks Blizzard, your design intent was great.
Yep when we were raiding ICC 25 heroic and ulduar through wolk days….our gm would make us do PvP. All healers had to be good PvP players. I think it’s about situational awareness and reaction.
Meh…I don’t know. I just feel like the token really took something away from wow. I guess all content PvP raids m+ all are affected
